Chat box color change to red

I tried changing the chat box text to red with some numbers from an older post, and it did not work.

Does anyone have numbers for red text for the new chat box that is moved to the left with -7.5 in line 6?

Sorry I have no other ideas.
It should at least change the chat color while leaving everything else in white.

I use a slightly pinkish color.
Peoples chat is pinkish and mostly everything else is white.
As far as I know you have never been able to change the color of everything in the chat window
only what is typed by players, joining players or contracts completed etc..

Not counting the color, does the file actually move your chat box to the left, as shown in the above screenshot?

Hi Cargo,

I like the red of your chat box a lot.

Yes, my chat box is moved to the right, in just the correct place.

However I still get no color change with any of the changes to the chattext.dat file in my Hud folder.

Isn't that a bit strange?

Any ideas to get a color change?

Hmmmnnnnn.......... Maybe MiaZ has the answer.

I am not actually using the chat function.

All that I am observing are the message texts in white.

Perhaps this is what is going on?

Is there any way to get the message texts in red?

I will have to check my files but changing one of the numbers in that file changes some of the chat received to red or what ever color you choose as different numbers make different colors.

I thought that the first three lines are the R - G - B values - try 0 0 0 and see if the chat disappears (black on black!)

Not that I know of, only the chat text color.
