What methods do you use to earn lots of cash quickly?

I started out doing contracts, 10k here, 20k there, but then that became slow and i realized i could sell a stack of 25 platinum for 35-40k.

THEN i realized that METAL was the best item to mine. Its very inexpensive, a stack of 25 selling for only a couple grand, but when you take it to a constructor station, you can change it to machinery, then to a C3 repair system and sell it for 125k. Basically i can take 125 metal alloys and sell them for over half a million.

Your methods?

My favourite way: Combat contracts.
Definitely not the most efficient way though.

Thats what I did - then I moved on to Pearl and in 4 days game time I had a decked out starmaster and 10B credits
Anyone can do it - I feel for the pilots that start out in a fighter.

Be a trader then when the credits are there move on.
One less (credits) thing to worry about.

Then I used my starmaster till I could get a wraith. So my first fighter was a Wraith all 8 equipments slots full.

But giving up my starmaster and crew was hard.
Gota move on tho - Good luck Pilots

 Which is why I cloned my pilot and kept my crew where I can get to them when I need them (the science officer, especially). ;)

What qualifies as a 'high ticket' item to you? Most ive seen is the fuel converter for 500k

 Anything between 500k and 20 million. If you can find five TWs for sale in Cerulean ... you'll probably make a small fortune in one haul selling in Atlas.

There are many ways to make a lot of profit in a short time. The best way is trading buying low and selling high!.....;)

arms tradeing
some high price items are several Mil each or more
20-50 Mil proffit per run is not unusual

Ah, but there is money to be made as a combat pilot...if'n ye keep yer wits about ye, heads-up, and on the bounce. Not all secondary weapons hard-points were created equal. Nor cargo bays for that matter.....

All "items" may be used for trade purposes, including ships. Well....may be not so obviously, the big-ticket item options are many. And do vary with the systems where found. The better the system economy and tech level, the greater the options/selections available. Where and what you buy, and where and what you sell, does have an impact on your profits. Running guns, beans, and bullets does have advantages. Buy low, sell higher or somewhere else. Owning a station license or two is also beneficial to the pocketbook. 25% off your purchases. 25% less bounty on offered contracts, since you're "effectively" working in tandem with the station, in that system where licensed. Buying wholesale, selling retail ain't all that bad....;)

Something that both pays well and won't get me into too much trouble, like cleaning solar panels or cargo deliveries. (Early in the gane)
