Can't change ship Config

Hi Folks and greetings;

OK I got a civ Mammoth and running engine 9 with shields 7.
Wanted to change it to lower engine and up shields.
Shipyard will not let me change anything up or down but CM's

Has anyone else ran in to this problem?
I tried changing engines, shields, wings nothing but CM's will change - Help please.

Sounds like you previously upgraded your Mammoth ... but can no longer do it. Correct?

Ya bought the frame and have been building it a step at a time - now it will not let me change anything but CM's - arg

I can understand not being able to upgrade your engine if you've maxed out the configuration ... but downgrading should be possible. Do you get any "Caution" messages?

Nope don't say anything - BUT it don't change in the right hand box either??

No upgrade nor downgrade.
I even tried changing frames - nothing.

Like I said the only thing I can change is CM's

Off hand, the only thing I can think of is to clone the profile and then experiment on the clone. Clear out all the configuration boxes. Drag lower class equipment onto the ship. Even drag a lower class ship into the main window to see what listing you get on the right side. If nothing works, then you'll probably need to send a copy of the original profile to Vice for examination.

Posting screenshots of the main shipyard screen and the frame config screen will help us understand what you are seeing when trying to configure those aspects of the frame.

I thought the upgrading and down grading of CMs is done in a different Menu of the Shipyard than Upgrading and down grading Shields and Engines...etc!
Make sure you are in the right menu and have the right cofiguration setup to allow you to upgrade\\downgrade engines, shields, cargo...etc...etc!

Like Vice said, it is best to post screenshots of what you are trying to do!....
