Steam always downloads 3.6MB when launched

Hello, I have found out that since last patch, Steam always downloads s 3.6MB file once I launch it (Steam). The game works, it is just, well inconvenient. Any idea what is causing this? Thanks.

Not sure, maybe Steam is detecting some kind of file mismatch with your install and is correcting it each time.

I by-pass steam using --> "E:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Evochron Mercenary\\EvochronMercenary.exe"

I am 55 and don't need anyone keeping track of me. lol

I figured if it has an update I'll see it on the forums or it will not start

Just my 2 cents

You can chek games update disponibility in the "multiplayer" tab from the game start.
