saving made stations to computer and not only the server.

Post by airassassin »

It would be great if we could save made stations to our computers, or at least save what we stored in the stations in our computers. That away we wont lose things like ships when servers go away.

If you save at a station not build by a player
you can access your stuff on any server.

You can also check all stored items from the
F3 panel. News section I think.

Are you using the same profile that you stored them with?

Ya.
I have my ship and everything that I was flying in. But everything in the hanger is gone. The good news is I still have over $100 mil in this game.

Have you tried SP in rhe same station.

If it's a game generated station it should
be available since the info is stored in
your profile.

I hadn't tried SP yet, but it's a user made station.

I will try to see what happens in SP.

If it's a user made station you lose all
stuff if it's destroyed and you will not
find it in SP if it's build in MP.

It might have been destroyed and then rebuild
if it's still there.

Never store anything in a player build station!

It is never a good Idea to store things in a Player Build Station. If they get destroyed you loose everything. It is only good to store things for very short time on a Player Build Station temporarily and then remove them from that Station and store them on a Permanent Station when your done with that Session!....;)

I also noticed that when the station IS destroyed.. its contents will still be in your hanger information console.

It makes me wonder if you could just build a station with the same name in the same sector... haven't tried that yet though.

The information in the Hangar information console is just information like a log or entry in a note book. It does not mean the the stuff is still there after the Station is destroyed!

You can try!....;):P:cool:

I wanted to know is that the game generated stations are indestructible and permanent?
Even using the stuff to destroy players stations, it can not be destroyed, right?

P.S. What it takes to destroy a station? For example I'm in the wrong place for my station, or I just want to remove it, what it takes me?

Thank.

Stations that are in the game by default cannot be destroyed.

You can destroy player built stations with station detonators, available at only the finest retailers!
