Maybe a high frequency sonar that damages their shield just enough to see them but not uncloak , providing a temporary lock on.

 I haven't fought a cloaked ship since Rommie left but, IIRC, they take damage if you know where to aim ... even when they're invisible.

:o Really? The FTs have already been dumbed down ... and now you want to dumb down the stealth device too?

marv really says that alot :/ , i meant a shotgun like weapon/secondary , with a wide enough spread and better range low yield. And not change the stealth drive , change how to counter it . Give them something to avoid .

I guggest to change the size of terrain walkers. The walker model is bigger than ship although walkers are transported inside ships.

I apologize in advance for mentioning these a second time but ...

1-The "Paid for " price is no longer displayed when selling things previously (and shortly before) bought at stations other than the one selling at. That was nice since you could decide if the sales price is high enough above the paid for price to make a good profit. It was in 1.8... but I have not seen it since 2....

2-The green (somewhat transparent) rectangle showing the location of main planetary bases is very very hard to see when in the rear view, and it falls within the planets outline. If the planet is white I mostly have to guess where it is in relation to the equator. (this is my biggest request of the two - please do something about this)

I have not noticed what the previous post says about the walker being bigger than the ship, but if so, I would think that needs fixed.

There is now an option to view just about every kind of transaction available. Check it out. Read the list of changes. Or explore your Console windows.

in the news/journal console you have the "buy" transaction listed from old to new ones
just go down this page and see all your last "buy" transactions

it was like that last time i checked, but i agree the paid price could be written like in the past version in cargo space on F3 screen, much more useful in my sense

I would like to see less time between crew payments. It seems like those suckers are getting thousands and thousands from me before a planet rotates even once!? I'm all for fair pay, but this seems a bit too much.

I would love to get player-built billboards (like the one at the saph->thuban gate warning of hostile territory)

Hi. I have a proposal to make. Would it be possible to move the sun and put a lot farther from the center of a system (at least 50 sectors) and put a lot bigger (At least 50x bigger)? Because then I know that in the EM distance and sizes scales is not very truthful, but then the suns that are smaller than planets, that is very not realistic!:(

At worst, if it's too complicated to do, so just physically remove all the suns of all systems in the game, and put a 2D sun in the background like the stars and nebulae (like in the game X3). It will always be more realistic 2D sun in the background rather than 3D sun but smaller than planets!

Thank!

The suns (Stars) are used in game so a background wouldn't work.
(You can harvest stuff around them and also die due to gravity).

Since a star normally is the center of a system (Planets orbit around it) moving it away doesn't really make sense!?

The size increase (x50) would probably be to much for the game to be as fluent as it is.

There must be a technical reason that they are smalller. For a gameplay reason which is mining the suns I would rather want they stay the way they are. Just my opinion though.

I feel, that the game lacks content. I really love exploring here, searching for systems by myself or simply visiting other systems, found by other players. But... Nearly every system you find, will be the same as the others... Well, there may be something unusual that was still not found, but I heavily doubt it...

I really would like to see some kind of artifacts that can be found in random systems in the deep space, that will give the player some pleasant (but not gamebraking) bonus, like better map range (x10, e. g.) or lower fuel consumption for jumping, better exit speed after jump, other things.

Spotted by Science ops or by player's own eyes.

IMHO, this will add more reason for exploring and searching for uncharted systems, as well as that feeling of excitement when player will find one.

Yes I understand that. But there must be a way to put the suns bigger than planets (the sun must be at least 10x the size of a planet) without this change the gameplay too?
Then on the mining of suns for fuel, it is still possible to undermine within a nebulous cloud.
And what is the planets revolve around the sun, the planets in EM are fixed, so it should not be too upset even if the sun is farthest.

In fact, for even more realism, there should be much larger systems, and planets should be 10x more distant from each other and also be 10x times farther from the sun. And the sun should be at least 10x bigger. And part against the jumpdrive vessels expected to travel further by 10x jump. For example, the mantis jumpdrive should be able to jump to 100 sectors. And the navigation map range should be 10x greater (maximum zoom possible on the map should be x80 instead of x8).

Anyway, then I think I ask too much. lol:)

If you want further distance between planets, stars etc (x10) and then make the jumpdrive x100 the distance.
What's the point?

Yes! But the jumpdrive should make only x10 the actual distance, not x100.

Exemple: For Fulcrum jumpdrive C1 = max 10 sectors distance to jump, C2 = 20 sectors, C5 = 50 sectors and Mantis = 100 sectors.

I dont mind size factor, i mind a lot about not being able to see a star, nor detect it, when at some sector of that star... I mean, a very near star cant be blind by background... and i found a little irritating to have to look at shadows on my cockpit to determine approximative nearest star position and then : search hours at spiraling... even my actual car have a GPS...

a got a full crewed ship, all 100%, high tech equipment, but have to look at shadows on my cockpit to find a star around....
