Disable stealth while detonating stations?

Would anyone support making it impossible the detonation of stations while a ship is in stealth? I personally hate when I get close to a hostile detonating a station then it goes stealth, and the fact fulcrums have a 30 second delay and having to find some just to try to get the guy to move takes time and most of the time when I get back there with fulcrums the station is gone. Its a nuisance and makes it extremely difficult to destroy anyone that is destroying stations while in stealth. I would at least like a way to counter pilots using stealth while their destroying stations either by something along the lines of a pulse device that exposes them or a anti stealth scatter missile that seeks out ships using stealth.

It shouldn't be easy to deal with it either. I think it's difficult to find a god balance in this. But here's an idea:

Some sort of deployable / launchable device (grenade, mine, whatever) with an extremely low range, say about 250m. After being deployed, it removes itself 250m from your ship, then releases a short burst of electro-magnetic pulses on a wide variety of phased (exactly the opposite wavelengths) frequencies. Since a stealth field would arguably operate on a specific electro-magnetic frequency, the ship using the stealth would be turned visible when the device emits the specific frequency of the stealth field/generator, for only as long as the device emits this specific frequency, say a second or so. During this time, the ship that is cloaked will appear visually as well as on radar, making it vulnerable to attack.

That's a lot of fictional chit-chat of course, but it would come down on a new piece of equipment that could be deployed at extremely short range (mind you, you will probably already be inside or at least very close to the station being destroyed), that would expose any cloaked ships for a very brief period of time, making it possible for the defender to open fire on it.

Maybe a one-second exposure time is way too short for anyone to acquire a good lock or even aim at the target, but the duration is debatable.


I believe such a device would keep things fair to all, as it would make it easier for a defender to counter the StatDet attack, but would only supply a small window and therefor also still give the attacker a chance to succeed.

Please do not take away the stealth during station detonation because small clans have no chance to inflict damage against larger clans. The game action has been great as the war has begun and I am not involved in anyway yet. The forum action has been had a rebirth of excitement. Big clans should not complain especially since they have the power of number of pilots! Again I enjoy the forum interaction and the game buzz, this will grow this game as new pilots buy the game to help their friends!

Can we get a button that turns off guns of hostile ships? It's annoying to have to get shot at while I'm shooting at someone.

Better yet, how about a button that makes hostiles fly at me at 1000-2000 velocity so that I can take them down really fast. When I call for backup and have 6 people around, people shouldn't be able to challenge me - talk about unfair!

We finally got fulcrums changed, but now I'm starting to realize that it's strategy that I really hate - not necessarily one item. Ships who don't fly directly into me and my wingmen at 1000+v, kamikaze style, are cowards. Nevermind that people warned about this during the fulcrum debate - those are not the posts you are looking for.

I personally have no real problem with stealth and detonators.
Yes, it's annoying at times, but not game breaking.
I also agree with what the people say about how it gives small clans some hope of doing any damage at all.

Though you have a valid opinion you can't fight anyother way but using stealth so I'm guessing that's why you are against having stealth disabled in some cases.

The point is, everybody doesn't have to fight you the way you want them to. Please get over yourself for the sake of the community. Nobody is asking for them to remove the ability for you to call for backup (which, incidentally, is the only way YOU can fight), or the ability for you and LL to switch tags whenever it pleases you. Stop this nonsense before this turns into a mud-slinging battle, ok?
