Keyboard & Mouse users - controls?

Any KB/M users care to share their key bindings? Particularly for all the intertial thrusters. Looking for some slightly easier keys to manage.

I use the AWSD for thrusters and the 1-0 for speed control.

I use W for inertial forward, S for inertial reverse, A for inertial left, D for inertial right. I use Z and X for inertial down and up but find these a little awkward to hold if making major adjustments to my heading. That's why I was looking for other possible combinations.

Oh dear, lesse here...

W and S for intertial forward and back, Q and E for intertial left and right, Z and X for intertial down and up (up and down?), A and D for rolling, Shift for AB.

That's probably awkward as all get out for some people, but I have huge gangly hands that I have to make into a "claw" shape to play anyway, so it works for me.
There are two great joys in the Evoverse: watching one\'s bank account grow, and making stuff blow up in spectacular ways.

I use the same setup. My IDS is controlled with numbers 1 to 0 (not numpad) and mouse scroll.
Tab is afterburner, shift for reverse afterburner. Ctrl for equalize shield, n and b for energy management.
Left mouse beams, right mosue particle, middle mouse missiles, thumb buttons for targetting enemies.

I may switch inertial up and down to Caps Lock and Shift, and play around with that for a bit. It seems that it would make it easier to maintain certain trajectories.

Keep afterburner at Tab and use X for reverse afterburner.

As a side point - has anyone managed to successfully use an Xbox 360 controller to play Mercenary?

I also use this and it works great for me, personally. The mouse wheel can be used for finer speed tuning.

Here's an idea for mouse users: set lmb to particle cannons, rmb to lasers, and remap missiles to mouse 3, on mine, mouse wheel click. That way you can effortlessly swap between your shield draining lasers and more energy costly cannons once the targets shield are down, or use both for maximum damage if the situation calls for it.

I too re mapped the throttle w and s keys to inertial forward and back, and use the numbers for IDS "cruise control". Also, I re commend remapping the view change key, lest you swap to third person when your meant to fire a flare!

And of course, REMAP THE JUMPDRIVE! I've gotten face planted into asteroids too many times when I meant to check my inventory, and exploded on a planetary landing pad when I meant to check my map!!!
