It's been a long while since I've played, and I found on the forums you guys talking about the expansion. I remember a few months ago, before I slowed from playing, you were talking about an upcoming expansion pack. So once I heard it came out, I went to steam game hubs, hit visit store, and odd, I see no DLC. So I load up, assuming it must be an free addition to the game. I see a beautiful new menu, far superior to the old one. I look around in the hanger, I find a nice new weapon creation menu. Thank you vice, this is much better than sitting trying to figure out which weapon is best, (basically, go for a lot more yield or a lot less energy cost?), letting me pick that median. The only problem is, I can't seem to find where an update tab is on this. I want to know what else is new. I checked steam news for Evochron Mercenary, nothing since the PCGamer review from august. Then I searched on the forums. All I find is you guys talking about it, or asking whats new. I want a change log.

Basically, what I'm wanting is a change log, like, whats been added, what bugs are fixed, what bugs need to be fixed, the new AI (I heard a few saying the new AI is much better, more difficult. :D). Links to it would be nice, but if you can only tell me whats changed, that's fine. (I'd also like to know the "general" area of new systems I heard about. General, because I don't like cheating, I want to find them. :D)

Thank you Lazarus. :D

It didn't seem to mention new planets, did I hear wrong/lies about new planets? D:

Also, I read about new secondary hardpoints, the packs, Fuel, Charge and Shield, I assume Fuel: Adds fuel when used. Charge: Fills Energy when used, and Shied: Restores shield when used. Am I correct?

Last thing: This seems more of a content update than an actual expansion. Is there any new quests or something I'm not understanding that was not mentioned by the change log? Like, pretty much all I see is UI changes, new models, new textures, Planet additions (like moving clouds), etc.

No, Deliphin, you did not hear wrong about the planets. They spin ! They have more and exciting textures! They have water and wave action! Oh My!

So far, you're fairly correct on the secondary equipment/secondary hardpoints' enhancements. And well, if'n ye figure in pretty much a new graphics driver, weapons lab, smoother GUI; a more "intelligent" AI (the Bad Guys are tougher and more vicious); a "detachable" Terrain Walker that works first-time, every-time; the ability to have more control in your purchases, sales, and contract/mission selections thru the F3 inventory screen; a more balanced and fair game-play environment in most all of the important aspects..... Shall I go on ?

 A number of different player-to-player contracts. The ability to hail the AI and ask for information (which might turn out to be important scuttlebutt). New contracts ... including some using the terrain walker and one where you intercept a smuggler (you need a cargo scanner for that one). The ability to fly in formation while hyperjumping across the Evoverse.

I said NEW planets, this is modifying the old ones in awesome ways. Next time I go near a planet, I'll be sure to check out the waves :D

EDIT: Also, the terrain walker, is that a new thing for every ship, or do I have to buy it and it takes up a slot? If so, where's the best place to find it? (Best as in, most likely to have it and cheapest too.)

There are plenty of new systems and planets.

Have any new ones been found yet? If so, any idea where they'd be?

 Hail any AI (F4) and pay for the information. The average cost is about 60,000 credits ... so why would we then give that same information away for free?

because Seejay already made a map, showing he's already basically giving the free information.

EDIT: Also, with trade routes, 60k is like nothing, so it's more of a time issue than money, I don't want to waste a week just asking ships for locations, then never find them, than ask here and get a better idea than "Northeast of Sapphire."

Yes, they are plotted on my map (link in my sig).

 I doubt SeeJay has all the new systems plotted on his map ... many of those in the expansion haven't even been discovered yet. And I no longer report my own findings.

Oh, new question, but I don't really think it deserves its own topic, how big is a "system"? I'm making my own base in an uncharted system (using seejay's map, system name is Y854. the X: 720. Z: 2057). So, how far from it would I have to go, for the economy to not be affected?
Hard to explain what I mean, I want a main base with all the utilities, but that raises the tech level, making everything expensive, But I want away from it, a small base with no tech, so stuffs really cheap, so when i need money, I route from it, and go back and forth to afford what I need. So, how far would this small base have to be?

 Sometimes less than a hop, step and a jump. Take Sol, for example. The station orbiting Jupiter buys and sells relatively cheap ... whereas the station orbiting Earth buys and sells for quite a bit more. Buying at Jupiter station and selling at Earth station can net a merchant quite a few credits in a short time. Get a license at the Jupiter station and you can buy stuff even cheaper. But, as far as I can tell, the tech level doesn't really have that much of an impact on the price of items ... just the quality.
