[align=center]Freedom Fighters Invade Vonarion Homeworld, Relieve Themselves[/align]

Freedom Fighter CinC [FF] HawkEye and [FF] Cargo, with Space Panda along for documentation and press services, made an expeditionary scouting mission into the Vonari home system. As Vonarion A has long been a dead and barren rock, the target for this reconnaissance mission was the lesser known and environmentally hostile planet of Vonarion B. No known landings have been made there, so low orbit and sub-atmospheric passes were the plan of action. After determining a relatively safe harddeck of 12000 feet, [FF] HawkEye began searching for some high altitude terrain.


Landfall was made on the previously unknown peak, now and forever named HawkEye Mons, at 02:36 Pearl Standard Time.


With [Ff] Cargo and Space Panda to land shortly after, the pacification of HawkEye Mons commenced.


The Vonari response was slow in coming but come it did and in force.


The fighting was intense as Vonari defenders flocked from their underground hangers to rain down plasma and missiles at the invading walkers.


Being grossly out numbered and out gunned in their exploration outfitted walkers, [FF] HawkEye returns to his ship to lend air support.


After hours of fighting on both land and air, the Vonari defenders where eliminated from the skies.


Having forgotten to bring a flag, the FF team christened HawkEye Mons by writing their names in the snow with the waste ejection ports on their walkers.
