Has anyone tried just use IDS and full AB into the enemy ship and just blast it as it tries to flee?

I must say that this is working really well for me against the new AI haha.

As soon as you get too close for it's taste it just turns around and fly away to create a distance.

There are risks that the AI aren't willing to take down there :)

They can still be formidable in a big pack though, don't let your guard down!

Makes sense since planet side is somewhat like using IDS in space.

So with the new improved AI who most likely where designed by Vice to counter inertial combat are now easier to beat in IDS.
This also makes sense that having a lighter more agile ahip with superiour acceleration will give you an edge in combat.

Oddly enough, depending on your skill level, charging into the middle of the pack can be a valid strategy now. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENED though.;)

I didn't say that, what you do is you isolate one or two, and then fight em chicken style.
You can actually do that now since the new AI are not fixated on you like some weird fettish thing.
They now go for the nearest threat instead.
