We need either a manual headlights addition , or for the lights to turn on while on the dark-side of planets. :P made me paranoid trying to get in my walker.

Very low yield missiles that lock on to other missiles heat signature instead of ships (if there are missiles present).
Possible 3-4 uses per pod, ejects 3-5 Anti Missiles, no lock on. When missiles are locked on fire the anti missile and it will lock on to its heat and successfully destroy it with its small payload , that would prove ineffective to fighter shields.
If anything i would really love to see the heat used to its fullest extent in future updates. (BTW i get tons of great ideas )

Clan stations dedicated to store custom weapons, no fee on storage but limited in quantity by/station stations /by system, Weaponry Clan Station, kind of, dunno

I Think You're Looking for a "WEAPONS DEPOT". A Station were ALL WEAPONS and ASSOSIATED EQUIPMENT to Do With COMBAT is AVAILABLE at a SINGLE STATION.

I Don't Think It Would Be Possible Given That ALL SYSTEMS have Their Own ECOMONY and WEAPONS for that ECONOMY.

Also VICE has PURPOSEFULLY Made The Aquisition of HIGH END EQUIPMENT/WEAPONS, such as FT's, SD's, PROX Mines, Shield Packs, ACM, etc that AIDS in COMBAT Difficult for Obvious Reasons. We HAVE a "Weapons Lab" IN EVERY STATION. Have You TRIED Constructing a CUSTOM CANNON?

I might be mistaken, if you are replying to Major Grubert. I think he meant a clan built station where the equipment/item hanger is free of charge for those clan members. Not necessarily a place where everything is available.

It would be in the 8 missile slots and be used up , it would be more effective , but more expensive over time. --- Basically super counter measures that chase the missile :P , very simplistically. It would have less of a range restriction than the anti-missile system, cause i've noticed the missile has to be 3 feet away for it to work.

I enjoy very much the new Weapon Lab which gives us the opportunity to craft our own designs.
But I think the Weapon Lab would be greatly enhanced if:
1) We could save not only our creations templates but also our current loadout templates ex Maxim-R , Metal Vapor , Excalibur
2) we could compare the creation in progress with the current weapon (current, in progress)

only a store place, only for custom missiles made by clan members only, and only available to those clan members, sure

we can imagine other storage stations only available to clan members

but with limits, limited number of stations, limited storage capacity (x/N clan member)

then some clan members could build and design and store missiles while other take them and go to war places or fight area...

or place them in a carrier and launch this carrier to the fight place

Yes, exactly like that . But for missiles :P , probably don't want to try to charge your shield with them XD

We could just have storage stations , some (or all) could be specifically for a certain clan or player , possibly upgradeable to just weapons , etc.

If I could give my fantasy free range, I would really love to see player built defense platforms. I imagine those coming equipped with different sorts of weaponry, from low yield short range particle cannons and flac turrets, to long range high yield guns and CWIS-like air defense systems, as seen here:

Heck it would be even better if you could tune its weapons the same way you can craft your own unique weapon in the weapons lab now.
I'd imagine you could build those like you build trade stations, and you would probably use them to protect a place of interest, like your clan's HQ, or a secret storage facility for black market trade goods.
It would be awesome to be able to deploy a couple of those tucked away in a nebula, somewhere close to one of your stations. Imagine the look on the pilot's eyes who ventures within weapons range of such a platform, seeing hell unleashed upon him.

That would be awesomeness. :cool:

I think it would help if the orbits of the planets were drawn on the map. Not that they need to actually orbit or anything, but since I'm used to seeing solar system "maps" drawn with the orbits on them, it would help reinforce the structure and make navigation easier.

So , a larger map , maybe a sector map , that shows charted stuff. There isnt much farther out thats charted but it is a good idea.

As a BETA TESTER We Tried That. Unfortunetly The BEST I COULD COME UP WITH Was the FP, PP, RP Designations which VICE Implemented.

Prior to This There was NO LETTER DESIGNATION to IDENTIFY YOURWEAPON.

:cool: That option was incorporated ... but then restricted to non-enemy ships. Otherwise it made it nearly impossible to evade somebody on your tail.

Is it possible to have a working map for a smartphone app?

Also it would be nice in the multiplayer menu when the server is full or locked not to send you back in the first menu but keep you on the multiplayer menu.

p.s. A flare at the explosions would be nice, like the one it has when looking at the sun (but not that big).

I would definitely download this. It would also be nice if it showed up to date pricing on goods at each station. Sort of a trade planner so you can see if its worth hauling to a distant system to sell.

Also, more and upgradeable systems radar, engine tuning, shield tuning, it was mentioned in the mods section but tractor beams. I fully support the player built stations that hold your goods/equip for free or maybe if non clan the clan can charge a fee.

I would like to see rocket pods. A weapon that would use a single hardpoint but maybe hold 4 or so unguided high yeild missiles.

Revamp the capship weapons. Their anti-fighter weapon doesn't really seem like a weapon more like a knock you around so you can't evade missiles piece of equipment. I guess i'm just spoiled from the way most other science fiction portrays anti-fighter weapons.

I could be way off on the way probes work, but it seems like when you deploy them they create a large sphere around your ship that is staionary but gives you additional range on your radar. It would be nice to have something that fires directionally like a missile and tags items on your map as it gets near them. The tagged items should probably fade after a certain period of time. It would be very useful for finding those pesky containers that my science officer is always telling me about. While we are on the subject of scanners, how about something to scan an asteroid? Let us know the how likely we are to tractor a particular mineral from a targeted roid. It would definitely add some depth to mining instead of just flying to the closest one and pressing alt-B and waiting for my hold to fill. That sensor should be fairly short range, shouldn't be able to scan an entire field from one point.

Ok, one more and I promise to stop. Well, two more.
1. Remove the sectioning off of the cargo bay please. If 1 cargo slot is 25 units, why not allow me to fill each unit with something different? Also for arguments sake lets say that each unit is 1 ton. How come I can carry 25 tons of metal but only 1 particle cannon and have it occupy the same amount of space. I understand that you don't want the gameplay to be broken by people loading up on FMs and make a fortune in one shot selling them I'm just looking at it from a trading perspective the best way to make money during a war is to sell weapons.

2. The ability to put more than one of the same ship component on a frame. (again,trading in mind) Let's say I want lots of cargo space. If I fit lvl 1 gear for each component except the cargo bay, I would have enough structure points left to fit a second one. We may not be able to pilot freighters, but that would make for a good intermediary. plus that might open up options for more complex trading missions and pilots would have enough valuable cargo that they may want to hire other players as escort since they will be a big, fat, slow target.

Anyway, just my 2 cents. Whatever Vice plans for the next expansion will prob be awesome.
