Don't have much to offer information wise, But I'd like to thank Vice for all of his hard work and making the spark of our imaginations glow brighter than ever before! Then new changes = EXCELLENT!

Good- The new gravity changes, I used to belly flop through atmosphere with no worries or cares. Now I have to pay attention when going to a planet surface. I cant wait to see how it affects other areas of the game as well.
I am really enjoying the increase in ship size too, I can actually see who I am shooting besides a targeting reticle.

Yeah, I was surprised to find how much harder it is now, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. From post: 150817, Topic: tid=10085, author=Frost N7 wrote:well bad would be more like , the combat changes taking you by surprisei think thats happened to all of us

It'd be nice if you could disable the sell item confirmation screen, makes selling mass cargo and torpedoes a bit slow.

Combat
Much different it is. Missions (for me) take much longer.
I had achieved adequate skill to get regular gun kills in EM1 but not so in EM2. I've got a few but I think its because the target was softened up 1st.
I could be wrong but does the Vonari have a limit to their missile loads now? In EM1 it seemed they had an endless supply but in my few battles in EM2 I don't see missiles flying out of their ships after several minutes of combat.
I think the combat model is better, maybe more realistic which is causing me to rethink strategy and tactics.
Thanks again for the holiday cheer

Just BEAUTIFUL! Very nice work!
I'm the only guy here that will say that combat is EASIER.
Perhaps, because my preferred mount is a fairly well-equipped Legacy.
The AI will chase you at closing speeds of 1600 or so.
So, fighting 'inert' (which is what I do) - you'll have a V of -800 or so after breaking away and going nose-on back toward the pack with a brief blast of AB back toward the pack - but they are closing on you!
It become even more important to manage to battlespace around the fight, to pick them off. I haven't died in combat yet, but I like that the percentage of damage you have them down to, is right there on the icon that you have targetted.
I f the damage you're doing isn't down a lot, and he and his buddies are beginning to pound on you, this is a good guide on when to turn away and re-engage after your core comes back up some. Using this as a "guide" has helped immensely! Nice!
Love the weapons factory!
I killed some 'baddies' to get the "ingredients" for a rail and then a projectile gun, to take to the lab.
It's the only gun I take now (particle - no beam!) and it does very nice amounts of damage!
I got "stuck" in some buildings after 'missing' my jump-jet point - in the walker. There were things on all sides (including above me). It didn't seem to be a way out.
ESC key not working in the walker? Had to pull up task manager of kill the game. May want to investigate this.
On the whole, I LOVE it!!
Too many cool things to try yet. These are just what I observed in about 3 hours of SP play last night.

Cursor over your equipment and the price will be displayed above. The buy and sell price is the same at any trade station, which is why you buy at a station selling low and then sell at a station selling high. Also, there is a new Log option where a lot more informatioin in displayed, including your activity in buying and selling. From post: 150848, Topic: tid=10085, author=Major Grubert wrote:It is only me or.. i could not find the "BUY" price on my stuff in cargo bay ?

Perhaps you missed the bit about being "stuck."From post: 150892, Topic: tid=10085, author=Marvin wrote:ESC key not working in the walker? Had to pull up task manager of kill the game. May want to investigate this.Works as intended. You need to return to your ship to exit the game. Either that or self-destruct.
Walls on all sides, except for gaps I couldn't fit through.
And a platform - the bottom of which formed a "ceiling" that I couldn't jump and go forward between it, and the top of the wall, either.
My ship was on the other side of said "walls/ceilings. "
I should have noted my location and/or taken a screenshot.
Your quite right about the "self-destruct." Didn't think about that!

And, your ships' cloaking field looks like the green build/deploy box, both from within and without, once you exit your ship in the TW. Along with the blue ("station" locator) blip on the TW central radar screen, the cloaking field is "see-able" by you on the TW's HUD/Main screen.

I'll second this. I understand why the sell item confirmation screen is there, and I understand how it could be useful ("oh wow! I'm glad I didn't accidentally sell that, I sorta need it!"), but I'm speaking as someone who spends quite a bit of his flight time trading when I say that this addition has quickly become irritating. I'd be totally cool with it if it were an option that could be toggled, but as it stands the sell confirmation screen just makes frequent buying and selling awkward and time consuming. From post: 150860, Topic: tid=10085, author=Caboose7 wrote:It'd be nice if you could disable the sell item confirmation screen, makes selling mass cargo and torpedoes a bit slow.

I think everything else is awesome, and now that I have a better handle on combat again I can say that it is much more entertaining than it was before. The new pieces of equipment are great for trading and use (bringing along a fuel pack or two for long trips certainly helps save time!), and the game is absolutely gorgeous to look at now.
There are two great joys in the Evoverse: watching one\'s bank account grow, and making stuff blow up in spectacular ways.

i'm thirding that apparently, it could be accepted with enter , or only be done with expensive cargo and missiles after 1mil, and installed equipment. it does make trading take 4 seconds longer thoughFrom post: 150967, Topic: tid=10085, author=Hemlet wrote:I'll second this. ans then "where is the... ship ?"
and then, on radar, a blue dot saved my life... keep thinking on the way back "hope it's not the station blip..."

Just purchased today as a gift to myself and the first thing that grabbed me, besides the gorgeous graphic update, was how much different combat feels! Gonna take some getting used to it, which is exciting. From post: 150861, Topic: tid=10085, author=hank wrote:Combat
