Not at all, I often wish the same thing. Pondering the mystique of the universe often makes me wonder what and indeed who is out there, and what our place as humans is in all that. I guess some day we will know. Let's hope we'll be there to witness it.

Like was said in the movie Contact (awesome movie btw): "The universe is a really big place. If it were just us out there, wouldn't that seem like a terrible waste of space?..."
