[SOLVED] Don't know how to continue the IMG quest

Well I just saved and quitted after completing an IMG mission and given another one, but after loading this game I don't get the mission message and I forgot what the mission was. It's after they give you your first piece of information (the mercenary cache).

Is there any way to check out the mission log or recover this information?

Also I cannot find the mercenary cache and same thing happens to me in the lost object missions. What am I doing wrong?

Go to your inventory console, press news console, then press view last quest message.

Lost objects show up on radar as purple blips, like the system gates. I usually use IDS mode for those locate/recover contracts: full throttle toward the navpoint until the purple blip shows up, then full throttle toward the target. Make sure that you're not chasing a nearby gate, though. I've gotten lost looking for objects before, wondering why there's a gate where I expect a crate to be. IIRC, hidden caches show up on radar as normal cargo containers, white blips.

The quickest way to find lost pods (when doing a contract) is to point your ship toward the waypoint, engage intertial, and jump. If you were pointing toward the waypoint prior to jumping, the pod will always be in front of you. All you need do is keep an eye on your radar for the purple blip ... then adjust your trajectory (I use maneuvering thrusters so I can maintain inertial) to intercept the blip. Usually, as you close on the pod, you can also pick it up visually.

Yeah, I found out the hard way about the purple blips. I was doing a locate quest and had no idea once I got to the nav point, to fly to the blip. Now those are easy money.

Yes, they are. So are the "recover" contracts if you have a tractor beam and an empty cargo bay.
