Hi all!!

I try a build a Trade Station but i can't...

I have this messages: "Trade station within two sectors, build request denied... "

and "Station placement invalid, must be within -50K to 50K"


What is this? What is the problem? (The problem is me, im a noob, i know xD)

"Trade station within two sectors, build request denied... " means that there's a Trade station within two sectors. You can't build at places closer than 2 sectors from another station.
"Station placement invalid, must be within -50K to 50K" means your in sector coordinates must all be within -50K to 50K for station placement.

splosives are spot on here, but to explain it in a different way (If you still don't understand).

- There has to be at least one empty sector between 2 trade stations in any direction.
- You must build within 50K from the center of the sector in any direction.
- You can build the other station types in the same sector as the trade stations (1 of each).

In SP, besides being able to buy stuff at a discounted rate then sell at another station in that quadrant (>>) to make money, is there any benefits to building Ore Processors, Constructors, etc. near the Trade Station?

>> I'm assuming I can only go to other places in the same quadrant to do things (trade, do contracts, etc) without my station(s) being dissolved into nothing. Is that correct? (I have been reading up on Stations and I'm having trouble determining what the value is beside the first statement above)

I know in MP it appears to be a lot different if you're in a clan. But stations are pretty things. I like flying through the big stations ... stopping and looking around ... there's a real big one that's hollow in a system I visited recently. ... a beautiful thing it is

Building Ore Processors, Fuel Processors and Construction Stations....etc.....increases the Technology level of the system a bit and therefore more items become available in that System and prices go up a little bit! As to the dissolvement of PLayer Build Objects in SP I think only 2 Objects get disolved when leaving Sector, the relay station and the protective shielding!....;):cool:

:cool: Items you create using the Build Constructor remain until somebody blows them up (IIRC, only a trade station can be blown up). Items you create using a Deploy Constructor remain in tact only as long as somebody (not necessarily you) remain in the sector. Once the sector is totally abandoned, all deployed items are scuttled.

ALL player-built stations are subject/vulnerable to the station destructor missile/2ndry wpns application. Check it out !

Deployed items do and will auto/self-destruct as Marv states. Exception is the mining-probe; different single/singular-use feature on this one item.

Dave and I did some mining probe deployments a couple days ago and discovered that the probes do get scuttled if you leave the sector. And any mining pods which were left behind also disappear. Additionally, you can only deploy one mining probe at a time ... but you can deploy consecutive probes without first collecting all the pods from the previous probe(s).
