I could add some more, but I have to add them to the top of the list because I think they will stop reading at question 5 or 6.....;):P:P:P:P:P

 Yup. Short and sweet. They must get thousands of emails and won't spend more than a couple minutes reading each one.

They probably will use your listing as the FAQ for the final product :)
if i were the community manager of this game i would do so :)

by the way this game is interesting in the way it can drive more people to space games :) and space sim and maybe to think about next conquest seriously : outer space

and i strongly guess that EM will be much more awesome in 2014 :)))

Could it be that you don't have the correct Flash driver installed in your browser, Dave?

:o Speaking of which ... does anyone know how to disable Flash's auto-update. It's the only one I can't seem to stop!

Maybe. I've explained to them that these questions were for my site, and I will copy and paste the Q&A in an article.

I am OK if they don't answer all the questions, but I'm still going to press for an answer.

I sent it to their PR person and to Chris.

I've had the same problem, and unfortunately haven't been able to find a solution. Tried google yet?

@Davek, if you are using Adblock, check that it doesn't block some provider's url from RSI website. It happens sometimes

@Marvin. Since I have issues playing videos with the newest Flash driver on my old computer, I have downloaded some older exe and no autoupdate since.

On the RSI forum, there is an interesting topic about Star Citizen 's flight model and Chris Roberts describes it as a whole as F35 in space and WW2 combat dogfights .

At least I'm not surprised as it's the Wing Commander flavor but I must admit that I'm not anymore fond of it since I have played I-War 2 a bit and I now used to Evochron's inertial flight model and its combat dogfights.:(

for disable auto update you can look into msconfig...

dunno if you can access msconfig from original win7, sometimes you must install befor run, but its the cool way to conf what start at startup what update alone what load with windows or not and so on...

be careful at doin so because it's little tricky computing things stuff... right ;)

I found out about this from a coworker last week. I already made my pledge. I can't wait!
I may have been a Black Mesa employee before I was an Aperture Science test subject, but I’ve always been a space mercenary.

I was coming here with the idea of posting about the game though i figured somebody must have by now. (some people might remember me from earlier this year, i posted a lot on this forum for a while and i haven't posted in like 6 months until now, it's not that i turned my back on EM, i just decided to stop playing until the expansion comes out)

I'm making a pledge in the next week. This looks like the game i've been waiting for for years. this might end up being he best game of all time as far as i'm concerned but of course....we'll wait and see how it plays. The videos sure make it look AMAZING (though the fighting seemed to be rather slow but this is still a very early prototype) Not to take away from Evochron, it still remains an amazing game, but obviously with the bigger budget and development team well...Star Citizen can go places EM can't. It certainly looks like the Chris Roberts of yore...the one that released games your machine couldn't run. :-p I suppose though there should also be some caution here,....Roberts said a lot of things about Freelancer that ended up not being feasible. Still i can't NOT support the development of this game, i whined for years space sims weren't being made, so i'll put money where my mouth is.

Anyway, it's still two years off, in the meantime there will be the EM expansion to play! (no date on when this is coming out is there?)

Welcome back Raynor. Things are a little too quiet on the boards at the moment while Vets are betatesting the expansion :D
If starwraith games werent there space sims genre would be already dead (except for X series which I really don't enjoy).
Well I'm still angry at Mr Roberts : "Why have you let us down all these years" I would say to him :D ;)

I wonder if the flight model will have hands-on Newtonian physics like SW3DGs. Based on the video, the game will use proper physics to model movement in space, but I can imagine the devs making IDS mode mandatory, to keep the game accessible. I'm looking forward to it, in any case.

Exactly I think it would be some kind of IDS mode as a lot of people who played Chris Roberts 'games or x-wing games aren't hardcore simmers. Anyway it still would be fun as dogfights in Wing Commander could be sometimes very hard and required some skills.

Well if you look at Freelancer, that had both modes. The inertial mode was simply called 'engine kill' and you would have to use your thrusters to move around, just like in EM, just a bit less realistically so lol. I wouldn't be surprised if he included both modes into this new game as well.

If you have any questions at all check the AMA on Reddit. There are 2 of them and they answer just about all of our questions that can be this early in production. He's mostly nailed down the physics model which is my biggest concern so far. It's extremely feature rich but in his last AMA he mentioned that if projections hold he will have 50mil (only 5 from crowdfunding) to produce the game in 24 months. Bigger production teams don't necessarily mean a better product but it does allow you focus on portions in a modular aspect.

I upped my pledge after reading the last AMA to Wingnut.

Very ambitious, let's hope it lives up to the hype. I to cut my teeth on wing commander and xwing. Ah Tom Wilson (Mark Hamil's overly cocky wingman) you arrogant jerk. Definite immersion killer when you go from fmv to blocky pixilated junk. Excellent games though.

I know this is an older post, but in case anyone is still wondering, there will be a full inertial, Newtonian (aside from the speed limit) flight option—including individual thruster mapping (!) and macro support, as confirmed in Chris' live stream yesterday evening.

As you can probably guess from my avatar and signature (which were the same back in 2008 when I registered), I'm super-excited about this. In fact, "practicing" for Star Citizen and the recent release of Evochron Mercenary 2.0 are why I'm back here.

I would give this project some money, but I can't find anything saying what system I need to run this game.
