Hi
After a Year of searching a possibility to host my own Multiplayer Spacegame (trying out things like Freelancer Servers, even Realm Crafter for designing an own MMO) i now found Evochron Mercenary. There it is, anything i ever wanted. (O.K. the Limit to 35 Players hurts a bit, but a private Server normally dont get that much people anyway)
So i will setup my own EM Server soon. But first i have to experience and learn about that Game myself. But i want to start the Game directly in Multiplayer Mode with a dedicated Server. The Server i am renting already just is a bit slow for hosting more people, so i already purchased a new faster Server.
But until the new Server will be available i have to use the old one. So the Qestion is: Which Files do i have to move to the New Server to keep my progress?
Am i right with following files or did i miss something?
-clanmap
-playerlist
-text2
-universemulti
A second Question is: As i read before there are AI Commands in Singleplayer Mode to command purchased Ships. These AI Commands dont exist in Multiplayer because they are ment to command other Players. Is there any Way to enable these Commands in Multiplayer? This would be completely Awesome!
Thanks for any Help

-clanmap = clan stats
-playerlist = kicked or banned player list (NOT required if empty)
-text2 = server config
-universemulti = all player built stations
no you cannot enable "a.i. commands" in m.p.
but i believe they do work in warzones when doing contracts.
but i may be wrong on that.

Supportive of Cronic: AI/Fleet commands ("Order" toggle) only work in MP-space in the CZ/WZ arenas, on the game server platform offerings. Probably for pretty much the same reasoning that there are no AI race offerings in MP-space, save those which individual pilots arrange amongst theirselves. Reducing the game overhead/software load, most likely.

Thanks for the Help.
I know the purpose of this files. What i wanted to know was if these files are all a Server saves? Or is anything else neccesary to get a full backup of the Server?

those files are all you need.
just install the server and copy your files over
oh btw....
you will have to update the ip #'s in the text2.dat file.
