Hi everyone,
Just as the title says, I am worried with my savegames. I am have just upgraded my computer but the computer shop says that I will need a new installation of windows, which as everyone knows, deletes everything on C:/. The good thing is I installed my Evochron in D:/. Will the savegame live to let me play, or will it be dragged down under by the windows install?
Thanks for reading

Yes, they will be save as long as all the files are on the D:/ Drive! Make a backup copy of your Pilot profiles and map log files just in case!....

I believe that you can copy all the files in your main game file to a flash drive or external drive. Then after you have fixed your computer you can install the latest build onto your computer and then copy all your saved files into that folder and your game should be back to the place you left it at. There is more than likely an easier way so others can tell you more.

It turns out that the game is in D:/ but the saves are somehow in C:/ so they got deleted.

If you ever happen to catch me on, especially in the morning, I'll set you up with a few comforts to make square one cozy

I am sure there are pilots out there that are more than happy to assist with supplying a new profile, especially if it is similar to your old one. What a bummer though!!!

ALWAYS, ALWAYS back up your Pilot files ( pilot0.sw , pilot1.sw , pilot99.sw etc, etc) to an external source be it a hard drive or a flash/thumb drive. Do this at various time to ensure a back up is ready at different levels of experience when needed. From post: 144655, Topic: tid=9741, author=Archon wrote:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hey Dude, if your running steam you can go into your game library, right click evochron and click "back up game files" and save to anywhere (external hd, flash drive). however i believe you need steam to restore it for you as well. correct me if im wrong, but i think it saves everything (map log, costumized keyboard map etc.) just don't hit delete game content!!
