So I'm going to start grinding up my military rank in the warzones and am wondering if I should stick with my civ frame ship with my 100/100 crew for the advantage they grant me, or go with a military frame (which doesn't allow for crew) and go with that?
Pretty much what I'm wondering is, are the military frames better than a civ frame with maxed out crew members? I'm using a Starmaster atm and have 4 crew max skilled and max loyaltied (easy to do I know) and I don't want to make the change if the performance isn't worth it. Should I wait until I have access to the mid range military frames before switching or just go for it from the get go?
Cheers in advance

Civ or Military frame?..crew question
I found that it isn't worth getting any of the mil frames from Starwraith or below because their armour is so thin and you die very quickly (unless of course you are a very good combat pilot). Personally I would recommend staying with your Starmaster, which is as hard as nails, until your rank is high enough to pick up something from Evoch or above. Of course that's just me... not the best combat pilot there is but very skillful at taking hits!

Civ or Military frame?..crew question
Hi.
The CIV frames with a maximized crew is very good in combat as well. No need to change to MIL yet
if you don't want to try them.
MIL frames have a "boosted" onboard computer to compensate for the lack of a crew.
They are also better suited performance wise for combat.
Really good pilots in a CIV frame set up correctly is a very hard target in PvP thou.
I prefer a MIL frame for combat.
My favorite CIV frame is the Mammoth.
Good luck!

I agree with MCCON, but I would rather go for a Leviathan. In recent experiments I have concluded that the Leviathan has better shields than the starmaster, and only 20 points less hull. This makes it tougher, but also a bit less maneuverable. It takes a lot more skill to effectively use a leviathan in combat compared to a military frame, which is a lot faster and more agile.
