Hi

Please describe the purpose of quest and the purpose of taking multiples of the same exact mission ?

And how do you know what levels are needed in order to increase ships/equipment/weapons etc.

Most of those questions can be answered by reading the on-line Readme file ... its launch icon can be found in the main game folder.

muitiple tasks increase standing and perhaps military but it's not very specific
I don't see specific level requirement for each step of weapons or ship upgrades on that document.

And as far as quest goes is says " You can complete the quest offered to new mercenaries for benefits"

I guess I understand but it's a bit general which is why I asked.

Hey Cpt86! Welcome to the game/sim and forum! You can aslo check out the Mercenaries' Manual and/or the Hints/Tips/Tricks guide that DaveK's put together for the community-at-large. They're both available for d/l on [HB] Seejay's web-site. Or, you can also find the web-connect in/on the Clan [HB] splash page, under SeeJay's sig block. Both documents have info on just about every aspect of game-play. Some topics are covered in rather exhaustive detail, while others have received more than just honorable mention. Here, knowledge IS power! Although, the learning curve may appear to be a bit steep at times, weather it through. Good Luck! Hope to see yaz out there sometime!
