So any reason why I shouldn't grab some systems on Starport 6 for the Guild? I ask because when no one is on Galactica 1, I'll switch over to there, and they have some unclaimed systems like Emerald and Lambda.

Sure, you can settle any unclaimed territory you like ... but, remember, it's hard work maintaining territory. And priority should go to G1.

Hi, i'm a brand new player and personally, i yearn for the prestige, romance, and dramatic flair that will come with my membership in [IM]. I am certain that, as an independent merchant, my skills and contributions to the Evochron universe would flourish like a verdant hibiscus.

My qualities include pithy conversation dripping with sarcasm, opening particularly persistent pickle jars, and bugs. I imagine the latter will come in handy in Evochron, as many of the ships in this sim resemble entities of the arthopod persuasion. I have yet to figure out how one goes forward and backward, however.... With hard work, perseverence, coffee, and tears if necessary, i'm certain i will overcome, however!

Please accept my request to join Independent Merchants!

It's Russian, my full name is Spagimvyr Isich Zirdikiev. It is unusual. But you know what's REALLY unusual? The fact that you spell your last name with an "iei". What's with that?

Well Ged Farnachbyarnaktrynaucrafdisstawnik and Spagimvyr Isich Zirdikiev have been doing contracts along with Starbuck to keep our percentages up! They've been pretty low this week. Marvin, we missed the boondies (or whatever you call those systems), so if you could find time to maintain those.

I thought i would, until a stroke of genius hit me at the ripe old age of twelve. I would develop a signature so ridiculously illegible, so far from my actual name, that any clerk looking on would simply stand agape at my style and flamboyant penmanship and take my check, feeling lucky they had the privilege to meet someone so chic that day. I was never able to figure out the debit cards, though. My current one doubles as a bow: turns out debit card plastic is remarkably stringy, and gives an arrow good velocity and direction. All the little slits in it (from when you considered cutting it with scissors, then reconsidered) come in handy as well. They suit arrow shafts splendidly.

Yeah, I'd like to see your 12-inch (about 33 cm) long credit card.

As for bringing percentages up in boondock territories ... we can make short work of that on Sunday. I'm a bit busy with yard(s) work right now. (Believe me, I prefer to maintain IM territory ... as opposed to maintaining lawns that grow faster than territory % drops.)

Not right now. Unless we are invaded and need to battle elements of an incursion. 'Till then (or until the release of the Xpansion), it's pretty much: build stations, do contracts, assist other pilots. And explore ... you might find something out there nobody has yet discovered.

I've just started to play EM again after a long break and am looking for some multiplayer fun. I don't know heaps about the game yet but hope to learn a lot more in the coming weeks. Is there any chance that I may join you guys and both learn and have fun with you all? If so it would be fantastic.
