McAfee and Mercenary

Post by 49rTbird »

As a test I reinstalled my McAfee anti-virus as it has been awhile since I used it. McAfee will still not let this game run on my Win7 machine so I uninstalled it again. I have been using Avast (free version) and read that the new Microsoft Security essentials (free) anti-virus gets along with other anti-viruses so I installed it also. I put each program in the others exclusions ( as a safety precaution) and then jumped onto MP this morning. The game runs fine with both anti-viruses running. I did put the "Sw3dg" program location in their exclusion folders also. This is only a test (running both) to see if they will work together in the long run.:)

McAfee and Mercenary

Post by Marvin »

:o AT&T comes with McAfee and it did not catch the virus on my dad's computer. So, remotely, my son installed the MS Security package ... and it found the virus. After rebooting in Safe mode, it even got rid of it. So far, the MS antivirus is doing a really good job.
