Marvin's Log

Post by DennyMala »

I can't log before MP time as it's right after my dinner (and I often get lase someminutes).

Dunno if I'll be at home on the afternoon, but the testing however will take only little.

Make a run of the configuration wizard and you should be fine. Usually there are people in there so it's not a proboem to ask if you're coming in loud and clear.

I use push to talk even if the voice activation seems to work pretty good.
Best regards

:o I can live with the weather. But Reno must've hired the moron who did Fernley's roundabout to now do the I-80 maintenance in Reno.

 Today, IM took over an abandoned star system northwest of the Cerulean WZ. The system stradles two trade station grids.

 Yeah ... I left it at 100% today ... but it could use the creative touch ... maybe a figure eight slightly above the galactic equator.

Long story short... as Marv already know... my PC basically gave up after more than seven years of service.

Solution?
A new one is coming hopefully this week along with a brand new Thrustmaster T16000 M (as my old Sidewinder was a serial plug stick and could not be fitted into the new machine).

I doubt I'll have all setted up and installed for sunday, but if I'm lucky enough I'll be surprising you all.:)
If not, it'll be the week after this.

Main specs of the new machine:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Intel I5-2500K 3.3G 6MB
Asus P8Z77-V LE main board
8GB RAM DDR3 1333MHz Corsair
ASUS Nvidia GTX560 TI 2GB GDDR5
Cooler Master Elite 335 case
Corsair solid state 240GB disk

I hope this will keep me in business for some years without troubles.

 Well, I'm at sea on the laptop* at the moment but when I get back to port, we can compare Skyrim details. Leastwise, until the EM Expansion Pack is released ... at which time WWII goes on hold and the dragons of Skyrim are given free rein to burn and do whatever else dragons like to do.

* Now that it's warm in the garage, I can run the current version of EM on the desktop computer all day, all night (Mary Ann).

Everything is turning out quite fine on this end but I'm not yet fully EM functional as I'm still finishing the various installs and configurations of the system.... it has been a busy week-end....

 No problem. Starbuck took care of it ... then we did some really cool contracts against a Vonari colony on Cerulean B.

Good to know... I'll be a pain for that Von colony next week-end.

Beside, I forgoto to backup all the mods I was using; not a big issue as I can get them again from here but I'll lack the one you sent me with the different compass and chat colours.

Can you please send it again Marv?

 Starbuck and I checked out the planet with floating asteroids today. There's even one under the water ...

Image

... It's kind of hard to see from ground level. Look closely at the area of water seen through the left quarter panel.

Wow! That looks amazing! Like the floating mountains on Pandora in the film Avatar! Maybe due to some interaction between the planet's magnetic flux and superconducting elements with the asteroids.

 Onehand (that's his name) found it first ... his screenie is on the next-to-last page of the Screenshot section. This is it:

I'm not certain it's the same planet ... but it looks similar.

Edit: He calls it planet Z569 and the screenie can be found near the middle of page 53 (on my computer).
