So I went for my mission to colonize the new world, but before I reveal any details, I would like to ask for a link at detailed guide for constructing trade stations.
I wanted to build one near the planet and asteroids field, and after 20 or 30 tries I simply put it fairly away from the planet. I must be doing something terribly wrong, because I can't believe that this is what you guys get when building one:
- Alt+mouse move up to click Build
- rollover Trade Station but not click just yet to name it
- releasing Alt and typing [HB] StationName (ignoring that the ship starts rotating around like crazy because of my mouse cursor pointing somewhere up right)
- desperately pressing Enter after the name written just to find out it does nothing at all
- clicking at Trade Station button under Build pulldown menu
- reading Building point obstructed (or some error like that)
- moving more away from the planet
- repeating whole procedure again (ESPECIALLY THE PART WITH ENTERING THE STATION NAME AGAIN, THAT'S MY FAVORITE!)

*monsterfacepalm*

 When building a trade station near a planet, if you get the "blocked" message ... well, it's three-dimensional space. You need to find somewhere, within the sector (and inside the 50k center), where you don't get the "blocked" message. As for naming the station, it becomes old hat after awhile.

Haha thanks Marvin. Well... I will throw them somewhere in a deep space then.

Anyways, log:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
SYSTEM W771 sX,sY,sZ -521 -2 -2495

( the system features 2 planets and 1 Asteroid Field, look it up to the right from ORION )

Built 2 Trade Stations near the planet W771 (E) (2)
Built 1 Constructor
Built 1 Research Station

Raised control to 9%
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Contracts are HARD! 50 expected enemies across dozen of waypoints to patrol, destroy the capital ship + 10 escort fighters, deliver cargo to carrier surrounded by 12 enemies, kill the Ace and his 8 ships escort.... all the missions are combat. The system is marked HOSTILE and this word gets an all new meaning there. Shield array next to the Trade Station is a must, if you don't wanna go crazy soon.
Other than that, it's actually a nice and cosy corner of the Universe. When I am sitting inside the station, looking thru the window at its beautiful nebula, and W771 (E) is painting my deck-cabin's ceiling green, drinking my evening tea, I am trying to picture how it will be when fellow BumbleBees come over and if they will like it too.
I am confident they will!

(this reminds me of the famous picture of Astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson looking out of the observation window, known as the Cupola on the ISS, shortly before her return to earth after a 176 day mission (click for large resolution)):

 Well ... as long as you like Hostile systems, who am I to complain? Personally, I get antsy just working the % in Emerald.

Well Marvin... honest? I hoped for lil more quiet place...
We took few contracts together with Twilly, and the last one I did before I left him there and went to bed in hangar, was absolutely EPIC! We have destroyed capital ship, and like 30 escorting fighters!! They called massive reinforcements and we both quickly got out of CMs and missiles. Twilly called it the Oldskool battle. What do I know, being here 1 week together with signup time, but it sure sounded damn cool to me.

Whew, hostile isn't the word for it...murderous rage is more appropriate. But we're pioneering into hostile space and setting up shop in the wild frontiers. Ran a few contracts with RAY and ended with an epic fight that found us both empty of counter measures with a Destroyer left to defeat...and we prevailed, taking on all comers and raising the % in the name of the Humble Bumblebees!

Good fighting Ray, you handle the shields of that Starmaster with deft aplomb! Good fighting with you mate.
Spaceships! Pew pew pew!

 If you decide you want a second territory ... where you can relax a bit, let IM know. We abandoned one such star system near Emerald (on Starbuck's server). With everyone taking summer vacation, it has become too much to handle ... especially considering how fast the % drops in only one day.

Excellent work Bee's!

I think we have found our new Combat training grounds! (W771)
I think I have to watch my back when you 2 are online;)

Great reading about those epic fights. As the Vonari would put it: "It made my fur tingle!" LOL!

Also thanks Marvin for your inputs and help with our newest member.

You are picking up things really fast RAY and a promotion is imminent! (For both you and Twilly)
Keep up the great work!

Haha yeah, you should have seen me after placing that Shield array - when the glow fades out, you find yourself pretty much in the center of that forcefield sphere. So I reversed my ship and went to descent, to see how neatly my brand new Shield Array will hug the station entrance. When my ship got out of the shield sphere, it revealed the naked truth about my building skills.

*monsterfacepalm*

:P:D:D

"...and that was how I made my indelible footprint in Bumblebees history, my dear children. They even made a medal in my memory."
"Awww Grandpa! The medal!? Coool!"
"Yes sonny, I even should have it here somewhere... "
"Awwww show us please!!"
....after few seconds of sudden silence:
"Grandpa, why does it say a "Horses Butt" on your medal?"

:o Well, not always. Denny has a borked computer. Starbuck and company are on vacation. And I'm stuck doing yard work and shopping with the wife.
