Evochron Mercenar Server Admin Tools (EMSAT)
Hello all.
I've written a server admin toolkit for Evochron Mercenary. It started out as a GUI for configuring the Text2.dat file, backing up the existing text2.dat file during save. Then I thought, it would be nice to be able to check the chat logs for inappropriate content. A player built station lister with search and clan station counter might also be helpful.
So I included those as well as a chatlog archive/config restore feature.
The program requires a minimum of 1024X768 resolution (for the interfaces). The program will check this on load.
It's still in beta (the main screenshot was taken before the Beta 0.9 was put in) and the standard disclaimers apply, but I was very careful to make sure the original text2.dat file wouldn't be lost as that is all important.
And before you say it, the Global Server List Validation String is there for display purposes only. It cannot be modified via this program.
It can be downloaded by clicking here
Edit: The link has been updated and will now work. However the configuration module no longer functions correctly and output a text2.dat in the v1.x format. It has not been updated to the new version. Been so busy I haven't had time to change it. All the other modules should work fine.

Thanks. Any bug reports should be posted here. Or U2U but I would prefer them here.

Thanks, Marivn. I tried to make it as symmetrical and attractive as possible.
One note, the whitespace and comments in the text2.dat file needs to be maintained as it came from starwraithor it will cause an error. I meant to put a readme file in the installation archive explaining the possible error codes and other info about the different modules. It can be viewed by clicking here. If you want to download it, right click on the link and then click Save Target as...
Don't have time right now, but I'll update the setup program to include it when I get the chance.

This program has been updated. You can download it by Clicking Here
I found a number of bugs in the first release and have fixed them. The program also now checks for updates on start if you are connected to the internt.
You can install the new version over the old one. The registry isn't touched and it is backward compatible with any configuration files.

Due to a couple of severe errors, this program is being temporarily withdrawn. As soon as they are fixed, I will re-post it, and update this thread.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

This application has now been reformulated and has gone through extensive testing and debugging. There is now provision to start and stop the server from the Server Config module, althogh stopping it that way isn't recommended. The server must also be on the local machine to start or stop. If the server is on a netwok but not on the local machine, the start/stop buttons will be greyed out.
There is also an in application provision to uninstall. The standard way is still there, but doing it in app will offer to remove the settings. This is offered because the settings are buried rather deep in the appdata folder which is hidden by default.
You can download the finished product by Clickingt Here or you may click on the download link in the original post.
Please note the finished product is slightly different from the screenshots as they have not been updated. Enjoy.
Edit to correct the download location. Whoops.

Found a slight bug in the station lister module. It was reporting an error during loading. Don't know how it slipped by. If you have downloaded the program before the date and time of this message, just redownload the app and install it over itself, that will correct the problem.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

I found a slight bug in the Station Lister. Clan stations with the clan tag and then all spaces for the name were causing an index out of range error. This has been corrected. You can download the patch by clicking here.
There is only the executable file and it overwrites the one already in existence. Sorry for any inconvenience. Hopefully this will be the last update for this program.
The main program installer has now been fixed so it doesn't need to be patched.

Nice work. If I find good bandwidth I'll be giving this a go.

For those who are paranoid about viruses and malware, I scanned the program using Jetti. Here are the results. Jetti Scan of EMSATSetup.exe

Due to some minor changes with the Text2.dat file in the expansion, the server config module of this program in it's current version is not compatible with V2.088 of the Evochron Mercenary server program. Everything else works though.
Just wanted to give all you server operators who use this program a heads up.
I will be updating it, but I have a whole lot on my plate right now. It's in the queue of things for me to do. I'll get it done as soon as I can.

I have really no clue why I have never seen this post before... Spectacular work Janus!
And even it has an issue with EM v2.x, I'll still add it to the Resources thread asap (ie after I'm done making pancakes
