Steam or direct?

If I buy direct will I be able to activate the game through steam?

I'd like the option to install the game though steam or manually.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of both?

If you buy direct, you cannot register with Steam, although the Steam community stuff works with it if you set it as a non steam game and launch it from your Steam library.

Steam has the benefit of doing sales every once in a while. I you don't mind waiting, you can get it cheaper than buying direct.

Or you can buy direct and support Vice who is a "one man band" creating this excellent game and though he appears to be superhuman, he has to eat etc like the rest of us mortals
