I remember being in secret talks with Vice to include a special device only native to Earth, a device with special abilities. He agreed to take it under consideration, Since I haven't made it yet, I can't confirm it. And the only reason I'm revealing it now is because it's been over a year since we discussed it.

Okay so the only way I can interpret "V.I.C.E. crew"
is the only way it makes sense... and it doesn't work, tried it.

The harsh penalty for revealing the secret was set long ago. In my 4 years of trying to get the secret, no one has ever talked. Believe me, I've tried every conceivable way to get someone to talk, but, the harsh penalty was set to protect the few who braved the obstacles day in and day out almost to madness before they proved themselves worthy of touching down.

Sounds so very familiar... except #3 anyways. Lol, as far as #2 goes... english curses get boring, so you may actaully learn more than a few foreign swears

Oh ok Twilly but everyone has to promise not to read... I flew deep into Vonari space after "defecting". I met with the Hive's Queen and was send on a top secret mission to eradicate the EDF ring.

I however proved to be quite the double angent and was allowed to land to meet with the Earth's leaders do be debriefed and surrender Vonari secrets. ........lol

My science officer keeps telling me that there may be valuable items on a nearby planet. That planet is, of course, Earth. I tried getting a navigation and science officer both with 99 skill to jump around Earth, no luck. Fire and debris. I would like to know two things that probably won't get answered:

1) does your rank have anything to do with it. This is important, because if it does then everything I try is a waste of time unless I'm at a certain rank. That would be annoying.

and

2) does it involve modifying the game code at all. This is the MOST important. I really don't think it does, but nobody will flat out deny it. I know somebody did cheat and land on Earth (and yes, IMO, that would be cheating) and I seriously doubt that's how Austin and Maars did it, but how about please just say it's so for mine (and capt chronic's) peace of mind? Say "No Twilly Frost, you annoying idgit, we did not change the game code in any way to achieve the Earth landing" and I will be satisfied.

I posted a picture in the screenshots thread of me shooting penguins on the South Pole. More penguins will die if my questions are not answered! I'm going to the mountains, you have three days to answer me, or no more Happy Feet! I mean it!!!

On question number 2. No it does not involve code change relatively speaking. That is if you consider when you are modding or using modded ships, huds, and Nebulae, background stars....etc as not changing code. I do not want to see more pequins die, who modded those pequins anyway?....Oh they are AIs....OK, they can die!.....I retract my answer.....:P:P:P:P:P:P

also when he landed in multiplayer, the security ring WAS visible to all present.

That almost sounds like it does actually require some kind of modding.
Some file maybe,like the hud mod or setfont mod.
