Jettinson cargo bay & text box scrolling speed

Hi all,
i played the demo... then get the full game

i'm very happy about my few hours inside and the little satisfactions i already get, still discover lot of things...
but i search the forum about this "jettinson" things and found nothing so..

I had some water in my cargo, went to a station for sell a unit of it, just for see the price they buy it
but, i saw this button "jettinson cargo bay" and asked myself "ohoh, never push that little one... let's try"
and all my water just disappear and i get no money, i guess, not sure, dont read the amount before pushing, so

so i guess it means something but

, can someone explain that ? (i'm sure it's quite simple..)

it's not that important because i'm still learning lot of things and it was not part of a big quest or whatever

however i guess i can stop to search for my famous loved "space game" quest, i found it

!

I just played a few hours but already in love with that Evochron universe !

Jettison is to get rid of Cargo in to Space or for Delivery contracts.
If you want to sell one unit of something in your cargo when docked at a Station or City you just rigth click on the item in your cargo you want to sell.
Left clicking will sell all units from said cargo bay!

Good thing it was only water. Nonetheless, you can retrieve items jettisoned ... they show up as purple dots on your radar and can be tractored back into your cargo bay. Just look for the dot then, visually, look for the white X somewhere around where you jettisoned the item.

ho guys, thanks a lot

in fact i've done "after" what i sould do "before" posting my question : translate te first word "jettison"

with the translation i understand immediately the situation...

(never used that word before so..)

however i got some more informations here about how to get those things back and so on, thanks a lot Marvin and Maarschalk

Next time i'll deliver this water to the planet in needs

I changed the thread tittle to add a little question :

is there a way to see past distress calls ? or past messages from the text box ?
sometimes they appear while doin something and... cant remember that much references so fast... name planet x y z ... and so on..

do we need to have a pen and paper not far from the mouse ?

uh, when i move my mouse my spaceship move all around, that's cool

but that mean i do not have a mouse pointer
i tried to do so while f3 or f1 is open...

If you're using the mouse for flight control, just hold down the alt key to use the pointer. You can then use the scroll bar or the mouse wheel when the pointer is over the message area. You can also optionally use the key control if you prefer, numpad / and alt-numpad / to scroll.

i'll be back soon for other noob questions i guess

, right now i just need to think "save" more often my progression....

yesterday flied a lot, gettin some cargo, change system... whoho...

then a red dude comes and ... blast me... lol

but i forgot that i didn't save my past progression before engage in fight... so... lost some noobing-hours
