First time here and was stopped cold by your "security" questions - something about some homeworld and some letters to decrypt - that was just plain illogical - I dare say most visitors here have not played the game long enough to have that kind of game trivia available to them - just drop it - use a simple math problem: 3+4 = you give answer; I had to open a browser, go to google, look up SWwhatever and get back top the registration - the homeworld I just blew that one off! It is illogical to expect registrants to know this kind of info.
- my 2 cents.

I checked and on the registration page it asks a random trivia question about the StarWraith games. I don't think that this is a bad idea... it makes new players do some research before registering and in my opinion, learning how to do research about the game will help newer players out alot. ;)

I can see how it would be frustrating though, but if Vice put it up, it must be necessary.

He's referring to the registration process for the forum, which was recently revised to include random questions. Most of the questions are pretty easy (ie combine two words, one word from an abbreviation, etc), but one or two of the questions do expect beginner knowledge of the games (name of a game and name of a starting solar system) and may need to be changed to something more basic.

 Well, the questions could stay the same. Just change the response so that, if the person comes up with the wrong answer, he gets "corrected to 100%" (given the right answer) and allowed to register anyway.
