Just f3 and click news for now as far as I know. Most keys are in use so hard to add more hot keys.

Check the keyboard control options menu in the "Configure Controls" toggle. There are 3 pages of key bindings listed. There may be a few non-bound keys, as I recall. Not positive at all as to the facility of binding a key for the news page off the F3 key for the inventory page. Doesn't mean it can't be done. Just don't know if or how possible. Best of luck!
