New Pilot, Introducing Myself

Hello all! I thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. I am quite new to this game, though I am not new to the genre. I have been an Elite pilot, as well as a privateer, a freelancer, and an X pilot and even a battlecruiser captain (yeah, I know).

So far I ask amazingly impressed with Evocron, and have been enjoying myself. While I have been reading all the hints and guides out there, I thought loo rapid open up the thread to any veterans out there who have some suggestions out what a new pilot ought tho do first to make his experience an enjoyable one.

Anyway, advice is welcome and appreciated, otherwise I hope to set you out there in the black

Welcome to the game!

Get onto multiplayer as soon as possible - you can get lots of help and soak up the experience!

Hi and welcome.

Try some contracts and mining in Sapphire to start with. It's a safe system and you will not
ge attacked. When ready for some more difficult contracts including combat, try Olympus
system just east of Sapphire. Jumpgates are pink on your map.

Join MP as Dave said for some fun and quicker learning.

Yep, pretty much what Dave and See said.

Most everybody on Multi - Player will be more than happy to answer questions and help you learn the game.

Also just so you know - Pretty much EVERY pilot, even the veterans, got totally owned by AI in their first combat experiences. Once you get past the learning curve of how to do it, it becomes rather easy. So don't get discouraged if it happens to you.

If you want to explore outside of Sapphire system and don't want to fight if lots of hostiles show up, get your speed up above 1500 and you should be able to outrun them.

Thanks ask for the welcome! I'll probably be turning up in multi-player soon enough

The combats aren't too bad! Though ATM I lean on misses too much, I think.
