Nvidia Driver Update

I saw an update for Nvidia. It is version 295.73 so I replaced my 285.62 with it on my Windows 7 Pro Laptop. It seems to have created problems with my computers ability to remember the window size settings on programs like this forum. Ever time I closed and reopened the forum it opened it in a little window as it would not remember that I have resized it as I had done under the old driver. I rolled back the driver but the problem persisted so I restored the computer to the 9th and all is well again. This is just a warning for anyone we may try the new driver dated February this year. It may just be my machine so good luck.

sounds weird, remembering window positions should be the job for window manager, not graphics drivers. Then again, its windows-moon-logic we're talking about here, so who knows

anyhoo, running with 295.73, haven't noticed anything even remotely connected to what you posted.

Good to hear. I try to keep my computer up to date but sometimes things go wrong. I may try the new driver in a month or so to see what happens. The older driver is dated late 2011 so is not that far out. As to the video driver effecting things, the driver update was the only change I made at that time. If something else happened at the same exact time it would be a weird coincidence. Glad it is only mine so far.
