Am an avid space sim fan. Played Elite when it came out. Played Freelancer when it came out. Discovered Archys Portal and settled down into a very cool space sim community.
Was introduced to the X series little way back as well, which I absolutely loved and still do, however being a fan of combat and mass battles I missed the multiplayer aspect.
This is one of our good vibe members introducing me to Evochron Mercenary - http://archysportal.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=817
This is me after some time of watching the others play, and giving it a go myself saying why i like Evochron compared to Freelancer. Sorry if that annoys people it just has been the way it is, in the community- http://archysportal.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=904 I consider it a fresh new sim that I've been waiting for.
This is me committing to Evochron - http://archysportal.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=906
I love it. Love the potential battle aspect. Have been settling into the PORTAL 'Evochron' Universe, establishing and learning and look forward to seeing you guys and gals in space.
I have spent a small amount of time in Archys FL portal. I do love that game also.
Had never played it online before until i found out about it from Archy while online in EM.
I agree Evochron has got so much going for it.
What i like is that it is going places, always updating and getting better.
Vice is always listening to the players and player input is evident in updates.
The game has huge potential with the community playing a big part in
what things might be added or changed to make this game the way we all want it to be
and a developer who always listens to the players.
I would like to see more multiplayer combat that involves more than just small or 1v1 dogfights.
Some of the clan v Clan wars so far haven't been the best.
But that is something only we as the community can do to improve things.
-btw, its good to see another from here in the West enjoying this game: ) Even though the ping to other servers from here is always high its still playable without noticing too much lag. I am most often in EvochronHorizons or USA SC.

Good to know mate and good to see another aussie around.
I'll pop into the servers (away from home (Archys)) soon to say gday around the places . We have a very active community, hoping to see more moving over to Evochron also, as clan battles in the past have been pretty awesome and now we are quite confident we can do the same for Evochron. We will be having fun either way
