Not a problem my friend! I hope that the power outtage did not cause you too much trouble, and that you were still able to enjoy your evening. Nice Fights today with [PC] Trig and [PC] SeT. They did some great attempts at doing damage to our stations and %. But their resistance still seems to be futile for now.

***To the Leaders of the Noble and Honorable Freedom Fighters***
Regarding the Evochron Horizons platform.
As a representative of the Star Wolves, I am pleased to announce our intentions regarding the Pearl System.
As some of you may know, Star Wolf history began in the Arvoch expanse, to which Pearl is included. We do hereby make this announcement in claiming the aforementioned system with Honor and Respect. According to our records, this system was once under Freedom Fighter's sovereign protection, but has since decayed. We understand that the Freedom Fighters still have assets within this system and are requesting either an authorization or objection regarding Demolition of these assets. Please forward your decision onto the Star Wolves thread.
We hope that through this act of diplomacy, our two organizations will build a relationship of trust and mutual respect.

Excellent work Freedom Fighters! The Thuban Battle Excersises preformed Saturday and Sunday were all well executed. All FF members were observed to have done an outstanding job. Everyone performed admirably; utilizing their equipment and skill ito accomplish our objectives.Superb use of teamwork, organization, planning, strategy and tactics. I witnessed and participated in some fantastic dogfights.Excellent coordination FF! Our ranks contain excellent pilots, with very cool attitudes! Very good people and it was a blast working with you! Stay Frosty
For being outnumbered those PC guys sure can put up a good fight!!! Praise should be givin to Phantom Corsairs, they are terrific pilots and very good friends of FF. They fought well and should be held in high esteem.
Today is the last day of the Battle for Thuban I believe, unless Trig says otherwise. We have 100% in the quadrant so we should only need to maintain a defensiveif PC decides to push.
BE ON YOUR GAURD! PC IS NOT TO BE UNDERESTIMATED!

Congratulation to Our [FF] Clan Brothers. I Had NO DOUBT Of the Outcome. I Have Met Two [PC] Pilots in PvP last Night. I Found them Most HONORABLE and Skilled.
As [LL], the Legion, Will Now Consider [PC] Clan as a Freind, t is My Hope [FF] Clan will do So Also.
This Battle for THUBAN-USA Seemed More a "Competition" Rather than TRUE WAR.
[LL] Clan, the Legion, will CONTINUE To Support our Allies and Friends, [FF] Clan IN ALL ENDEVOURS Regardless.

Hey FF guys, had a good time in the "war", although that probably is a bit of a strong term for it in hindsight.
I have some feedback/input that may help make it as or more enjoyable in the future.
-Main thing that hurt us was numbers, but that's to be expected.
-Stealth Fields were used pretty often on both sides, they're a bit.. annoying, but on the other hand its nearly impossible to destroy a defended station without. Possibly agree to no stealth fields before, although this will change the over all conflict a good deal.
-I think we may have used too many stations, a limit on stations during the conflict would change things a bit, for example when there were 15+ FF tagged stations its much harder to defend and find the opponent if they decide to hop around frequently. A limit of 3-5 for each side would change things a bit, and if there on different "halves" of the map would give a more battle lines feel, IE when on FF stations it would be offensive, and when on PC stations it would be defensive (from my perspective). With even numbers and no stealth fields it would take a full clan effort to destroy one.
Oh, and if we decide to do this again, may wish to use different term than War, maybe skirmish or scrimmage, War's are usually to the death of one clan or the other.
thanks, trig

Trig thank you for the feedback. As I've stated from the beginning this is a work in progress. A little something extra to do in game, not a competition, just something to do other than "boring formation flying". Having said that, I appreciate your feedback and hope PC would still be interested in refining the process. It's entirely possible a system could be worked out that would allow any other clan to participate.
- Team balance was a serious issue that can't really be resolved unless clan numbers grow. Even though you two were outnumbered, most of the time, you still held on and made it tough as hell for us. I spent hours following you around trying to find you before you could finish a contract, or kill a station. Your tactics were seriously impressive, given the situation.
- I am somewhat conflicted about stealth fields. I wish there were a counter to them, something that nullifies them. It seriously frustrated us when you were killing a station and we couldn't find you -- But that was an advantage you were owed. It's something I think we should explore further. Try to determine its proper use.
- I fully agree about too many stations. The idea of a 3-5 limit on both sides might focus the fighting and create more of a battlefield feel. Fewer stations mean a smaller selection of areas to run contracts in. One option I considered was allowing the destruction of stations while opposing clan is offline. No contracts, just station destruction to increase rate of decay. This guarantees decay during times of inactivity. In my perfect world a system would decay in a day or two without activity.
- It's funny you mentioned using the term "war". When I wrote up the guidelines themselves I made it a point to use the term "battle" instead of "war", but somehow I still managed to title the whole thing "Thuban War". I fully agree this isn't a war. We aren't using fulcrums. I am just trying to refine a system that allows clan battles to occur on a (hopefully) fair battlefield using consistent rules.
I have to give Trig and SeT serious props. You guys fought a hard guerilla war and there were times when, even though you were outnumbered 3 to 1, you frustrated the living hell out of our clan. I had serious fun and I hope you did too.

Just had a 40 minute fight with [FF] Hawkeye, and it turned out to be a draw.
I almost killed him several times, but whenever I tried to pursue him he seemed to get the upper hand.
In the end he ran out of fuel, and at that point we decided to call it a draw.
Despite there being no winner, it was a very epic fight.

Oi splosives, thanks for the PvP tips the other night. I need to improve if I'm to be effective pest control for HB. I never realized how valuable fighting in the "chase" perspective is, both for better detecting the angle of incoming fire and for not being shaken around like a paint can during combat.
Many thanks!
