In spying missions in warzones, it seems everytime you take one a navy capital ship is engaging the Vonari Ship that you have to scan. What happens is that unless you scan the VOnari capital ship successfully on first attempt, it will usually get destroyed before you can finish to scan it. It seems to me a little silly that you're tasked with scanning a ship they are already in the process of destroying....

I'd already reported before on doing a mission for the navy in which im tasked with destroying a rebel ship or what not and being attacked by the navy while i'm carrying this mission for them.
Well today i saw worse, I had a missions during which i was tasked with destroying a navy capital ship. I was having a lot of trouble with it (for the record my ship is outfitted with the best of weapons and shields and all and I still don't know how it is possible to destroy a capital ship without million dollars weapons....) because of the enemies repspawning when suddenly 4 friendly ships shown up out of nowhere and started firing on the capital ship. I targeted those friendlies to see what faction they were.......Navy it said. So unless these were somehow supposed to be a different navy, they helped me attack their own battleship and i actually succeeded the mission. Great, but a bit nonsensical.

Hmm...so...any system where the navy starts as hostile is Federation then? But then if i do missions for them and they stop being hostile how will i ever know the difference? That confused me cause i could see that some territory was alliance and others were feds but military was always just identified as navy no matter what so . Seems to me it would be simpler to just identify ships as either Fed Navy or Alliance Navy,

An identification of player ships within the sphere of a deployed sensor array would be nice to pinpoint specific ships when you mouse over them. After that, its a matter of plotting a waypoint to the intended target. This would be good for bounty hunting work mentioned in the latest development blog for the expansion but would be great if incorporated to the existing game.

Well sorry to repeat again and again but even a "simple" vectorial 3d Nav Map that you can spin, zoom in and out with the mouse like in Frontier would be more friendly than the present 2d nav.

What I would love to see in EM:
- More missions, missions that send you to other systems. [example: Deliver item A to System XY on Planet B]
- New missions could be:
* Transport person A to System B on planet or station.
* Protect a transport that flys from system XY to planet B, mission could be made that some time nothing happens and than only 3 ships attacking, than again nothing happens 2 ships attack and so on and this random. Would be nice that sometimes no enemy apear at all. That you never know if this time some enemy ships attack.
* A transporter is in System X stranded on X 54000 Y 0 Z 5000 , find the transporter and rescue the passengers. (All passengers are one crew member slot.)
* Deliver item A to System XY on Planet B
* Fly to Battleship XY and get there one diplomatic agent and transport him save to system ZA to the Battleship AF.
* Mining on planet X the ore W and deliver it to system C on station W.
* A epedemie on planet W did happen, fly to planet W and fly the infected people to system XY on hospital station A. (One crew member slot are all infected people)
I could go on like that with the missions, only a bit fantasy and you could create dozens of missions.
- A bit more time for the Distress Calls, alot more money for Distress Calls.
- Missions that say the numbers of X Fighters should contain only the numbers of X fighters, in the moment I kill X fighters and the same fighters respawn or even more fighters there.
- More money for missions and not so much money for trading. In the moment I buy in System A the item Z for 600.000 and sell it in X and get 2 millions for it. With that I made in 1 day 70 millions and can buy everything except Military Ships. This destroys a bit the fun of the game, it would be more interesting that I can effort after 2 weeks the second ship and after 4 weeks the third and so on.
- The things to build and deploy should be alot more expensive.

- After invite in a Guild/Clan automatic Tag infront of the own name.
- Guild/Clan Storage
- Possible to invite pilots in a group. A group window that shows the human pilots that in my group.

- Private Mail system to send a player a private mail, when he logs on the server than he get the mail. (You must give the player in private chat a password for private mails, that he use to open the mail.)

Since we're talking about stealing ships offov walker pilots and/or vice versa,
I had some ideas about stealing Nav Data, a blackbox or something, that contains all the pilot intel regarding current MP session flightlog
and stored navlog data like unknown systems visited - co-ordinates of clan bases, secret sights discovered etc -
things clans would kill for - lol
There could also be a Blackbox destruct timer, something suitable, anything from 30 secs to 2 minutes, or whatever would be fair.
That way if a pilot is ambushed, and blown up, it isnt all that easy to get the blackbox(Crate) and the juicy intel.
I guess you would have to have a 2nd function for the Nav Computer, where it could store complete Navlog files,
so you keep/sav your current Nav Co-ordinates savelist, and load/change to the Navpoint save list in the black box.
Or maybe a side-by-side function in the NavComp to compare new Waypoints gleaned from the blackbox,
then save them in your own navlog....maybe even drag 'n drop.
Target blackbox data should be fairly easy to interpret as I guess most people give fairly generic names to their nav/waypoints.
eg:-
Sol- JG to Rift - SX2012-Sy0-Sz2104 etc
or
Ballybeyond System - WH to Andro - SX13001-SY5000-Sz20120 etc

Well after reading 80% of the thread, (2 breaks and 3 coffee's later...
I can agree on 2 things for sure
1) Death is going to happen to all, mostly to new players still learning the game. Levels 1-5 No Penilty at all, 5-10 20% cost of repairing your ship, 10 up 50% as by time time you should know better.
2) Missions DO make the game more interesting and is benifical to all.
EX. Exploring : All New Pilots start in Sap, so why not make a mission to help the new Pilots learn the game by story line. We need to know where to start

Anyway, I'd humbly suggest a transaction log capability. So, maybe another button in the Inventory screen. Clicking it would give you the following.
1. Transaction history of all your sales and purchases.
2. Info to keep would be total monetary amount of the transaction, date of transaction, sold to/purchase from data, location of the transaction, transaction items (stuff sold or purchased; or traded I guess).
3. Sortable by each field.
4. Searchable
5. Filters (so, just show diamonds sold; or, just show what was sold in a certain location, just show transactions over a certain value, just show transactions in a certain system, etc.)
6. Let's see. What else? : )
I guess that's good enough for a start : )

Personally i've made my own excel file of all the bounty missions i've ever taken (listing how much i got paid, how many enemies, who hired me and the initials of the target). Some people have obssessive needs to make lists like that....
