About Metacritics user reviews

Well that can sound ridiculous and I'm asking myself why i 'm creating this topic. But reading another negative user review on Metacritics about Evochron Mercenary from some hater, who barely played the game, gets me mad.

I know that Vice doesn't seem to care about any reviews. He has just made the games he wanted to play for 19 years. But somehow I think that he deserves better respect for the work he has done.

Since this game is on sales on Steam, some members are doing their best in the Steam's forums to help and guide new players.
And on my side, I'm doing my best to show the game in a French forum to new players.

Obviously this game can't be everyone's taste. I accept that . But is it fair that Evochron Mercenary gets only the bad publicity from these negative users reviews on Metacritics . I try to counterbalance that with a positive review that I hope is also objective.

Dear Members, if you enjoy the game would you write some user review on Metacritics about Evochron Mercenary ? What do you think ?

It makes me mad too. I often see the same or similar names come up with those nasty reviews as well.
Its been awhile now I have decided not to read reviews, readers reviews or comments anymore.
Sorry but I just haven't got the strength to want to battle it out on forums user review pages and all that.
I do feel very defensive about it but I have done a little bit of posting here and there and it only seems to make them want to hit back even harder.

Well, I don't care about Metacritic at all. Best way is, digging through forums and all user reviews and such. That way, you might get a slight idea about truth.

metacritic really takes reviews overboard, you'll find tons of great games with poor ratings on there and tons of poor games with good ratiings, i dont go there anymore
