~Chapter One~
~Before Kat~
Kataloma opened her eyes; she was in a small cell, no windows, and no bars. She tried using her mind powers, but she couldn't. Oh Great. They set up a distortion field! Well, distortion field or no, I’m getting out of here! With that thought, Kataloma walked over to a panel. She let out her claws, and ripped the panel off the wall, then tossed it across the room. The panel smashed against the wall and crumbled. Hmm, I wonder what wire. There are a lot of them. Oh well… and she reached in and ripped out all of the wires. There was a flicker of lights, then darkness. She waited near the center of the room, for the door to open.
The other bad guys were asking how the Bad guy who captured Kataloma or Kata as everyone called her, really captured her, when suddenly the lights went out. “What was that?� one Bad guy asked.
“Oh, uh, it's just an uh, miss-manage-mint of the… uh, ship, yeah the ship has a slight problem, I’ll get it fixed.� The bad guy who had captured Kata called for his guard, “Go find out what is wrong… and check on the prisoner.� His guard opened Kata’s cell door. There was nothing in sight.
Kata saw the door open, waited for a second, and then her eyes glowed Silver. The guard jumped with fear, and then the eyes vanished. Kata jumped off a wall, and landed full on top of the guard, claws out, hissing.
The bad guy’s heard yells and screams of terror, “What is that?� a Bad guy asked, his answer was silence. The lights turned on, then a pause, and then the door opened, and Kata was looking right at them.
“I thought you had her in Jail?� one bad guy asked.
“I-I-I-I-I d-d-di-d…� the other Bad guy answered with fright.
Kata cleared her throat before the other bad guy could say something. The two bad guy’s looked at her, and she said “Sorry to crash your party but, I was in jail. And, oh, you need a new jail.� She paused, and a bad guy started inching toward the Transporter. “Take another step and you won’t get to the Transporter.� The bad guy stopped. “Now…� her voice trailed off as she sealed the doors to keep the people from running, then she took a moment to use her mind powers to lift an empty jar off the table and sent it smashing into the wall above someone’s head. “Now, where were we? Oh yes, and I and set the ship to crash into the moon, in about fifteen minutes, so I think I’ll leave before impact.� And with that, she stepped into the Transporter.
Kata sat on the soft grass watching soldiers looking for her. She thought back, and laughed at how scared those bad guy’s had been. Oops. The soldiers heard my laugh. Time for tag time. She had stolen a stealth field, and a shield from the ship. She activated the shield, and with a “Catch me if you can!� Kata darted off into the woods, hotly pursued by the soldiers.
Kata looked down at the soldiers, who were hunting her, she had climbed a tree, and now the soldiers couldn’t find her. Kata made her way, from tree to tree away, then dropped down, and looked at the almost un-guarded ships. She saw one that she liked.
Kata activated her stealth, and calmly walked over to a guard, grabbed his stun gun, and stunned him. She walked on board, shut the doors, and turned the engines on. She deactivated the stealth, and the shield. She took off, and flew up toward space. She heard something, and wheeled around to see someone trying to sneak up on her. Her eyes glowed, and the man’s stun gun jammed. “Who are you?� she inquired.
“I am… who I am.� The man replied, “Oh, and you are in BIG trouble.�
Kata rolled her eyes at the man, “I knew that already. So, I’ll just drop you off on the nearest planet.� The man glared at her and tried to fire his gun, but it wouldn’t fire. Then the man looked at her hands, then her claws, he started to back away as Kata’s eyes glowed and he hit the wall. “If you are smart, you will stay there.� Kata turned back to the window, and noticed three fighters, with drones flying them. Kata sat down, and opened weapon fire on one fighter.
Kata turned back to the man, who was still trying to stun her. They were in hyper space. “Now, I guess I have to keep you with me for now. So I suggest you be good.�
The man glared at her “You know, my friends will look for you, and I have a transmitter so they can track me where ever I go. They will track you down and get you.�
Kata’s eyes glowed again. “Was that a threat?� she asked. “Are you that stupid?� the man laughed. Kata’s eyes glowed again, this time with fury “You better just shut up.� She snapped.
“Oh no, I am so scared of you!� the man mocked her. Kata used her power and lifting him off the ground, tossed him into a room, and sealed the door. “Let me out this Second, like right now!� Kata ignored the yelling coming from inside the cell.
Kata picked up his stun gun, she already had one, no need for this one. She threw it across the room and with the extreme force of the impact it shattered against the wall. Kata went back to the ship’s controls. It was good that she did so, because she had arrived at the planet she wanted to go to.
She looked at the screen where she could see what the man was doing. The man was busy trying to get a panel off. Kata walked over to the door, and opened it. The Man looked up at her. “You can try escaping all day. You’re getting nowhere. And, we are at the planet, so I guess I’ll let you loose.� Kata said, and then she turned, and walked out of the room, out of the ship, and headed toward the gate.
“Hey wait!� the man ran after her yelling.
“What?� Kata turned around to look at him.
“Where’s my stun gun?� The man asked.
“Oh… Your gun… I destroyed it.� Kata smiled, and started walking away again.
“Wait. How do I defend myself?� the man asked.
“Figure it out.� Kata replied without stopping.
“B-b-buuut…..� The man whimpered.
Kata turned around. “Fine, here.� She tossed him her stun gun “Happy now? And you can have that ship.� Kata started to dial the gate, but she just barely started as the gate started an incoming, someone was coming through. “Oh… Great, more company.� Kata groaned.
The incoming opened, and out came soldiers. “There they are!� one yelled.
“Run!� Kata shouted to the man, and activated her shield just as they showered a load of stun gunfire on her. But there was no need to shout Run, the man had already taken cover, and was returning fire as fast as he could. Kata’s eyes glowed, and her claws came out. Kata gave a scream like a panther, the yells of the soldiers stopped, they fell back a few steps. Kata advanced to the dial, and started dialing, her eyes were glowing, and the soldier’s weapons would still not fire. The soldier’s mouths were hanging open. The gate opened in seconds. “You,� Kata looked at the man, and continued, “Get through that gate, now.� The man ran up to the gate, and jumped through.
Kata walked calmly passed the army of troops, and walked into the gate.
Kata looked at the guns pointed in her direction. “So you’re going to try to backstab me?� she asked.
“No, we just want some answers, and I told you that the commander had a tracking device on.� A man said, “The commander told us a few things about you, and he wants to know more.�
“Okay, what do you want to know?� Kata asked.
“We want to know… What are you?� the commander said.
“I am…� Kata looked at them, and continued “I am, something that was thought to be gone…�
The men looked at Kata. “What’s your name?�
“My name is…� Kat’s eyes glowed, “Kataloma�
“Kataloma?� The men were scared out their wits. “What are you going to do?�
“My goal is to wreak revenge on the empire… There is a generator, and I will destroy it, I will get my revenge!� Kata looked at how scared they were
“Why? Why do you want revenge? What are you getting Revenge for?� the commander asked.
“They killed, every last one of my wingmen. I am the only one left, the only one left of my kind.� Kata was upset at the remembrance of that day, she and her buddies, which were under her command, were sitting, talking, when the new army burst into the room, shooting. She had barely escaped.
“Did you know that they are still alive? They are in a cell in the head base of the empire. If you free them, they would have to relearn how to use their powers.� The commander asked her.
“They are? I will go free them now.� Kata turned to dial to the home planet of the empire.
“Wait. We can help you. We have access in the home planet. All we need to do is make you look like someone else.� The commander said “We are Nikdo’s.� The commander smiled.
“Well, Nikdo’s, I know what your name means, and I can take care of the changes.� She turned on her stealth. “See?� she said.
“Okay, let’s get going.� The commander said, and dialed.
Kata followed the commander as he walked past the guards at the gate. Kata felt like grabbing the guns belted to their waists, and shooting them, but she knew that would not help her men.
“Stop! In the name of the Empire, Stop!� A soldier said. The commander stopped, but Kata continued on.
Kata walked along a path, she knew this path lead to the generator. Pretty soon she saw the generator. The generator looked like a cylinder, but the top was round, the color was grey. Pretty generator… What a shame I am going to destroy it. Kata walked up to the panel, she could not destroy it with a stealth field up, so looking around her, she de-stealthed. Kat looked at the lock on the panel. This is too easy! Kata’s claws came out and she ripped the panel off, and then reached in a ripped all the wires out, then she turned and ran for cover.
*KABOOOM!*
Kata looked out from where she had taken cover, no generator, just pieces floating down out of the sky. Kata made her way down a path, and into the prison area. Now, where’s my crew? Kata wondered. Kata heard a sound behind her, she wield around to face her ‘Creator’.
“So you finally came back?� the tall man asked.
“Not to you.� Kata said.
“To free your crew I suppose?� the man asked
“Yes, and to put a stop to your evil work.� Kata replied
“Kataloma, your crew lead a rebellion against me, I had no choice but to lock them up. They were going to kill you. I thought you had been killed long ago.� The man said.
“Save your lies for someone else Sinbad.� Kata said.
“Lies? What lies?� Sinbad said.
“Yes lies! Now where’s my crew before I shake it out of you!� Kata said, in a higher tone.
“Now, now Kataloma� Sinbad said.
Kata glared at Sinbad.
Sinbad looked back at Kata, and then said “tell me the names of your crew that you want back.�
“Isha, Kasha, Tigre.� Kata instantly replied.
“So you remember your crew?� Sinbad said.
“Of course I do!� Kata said impatiently.
“Well, I’ll go get your crew.� Sinbad turned to go.
“I will come with you. I don’t trust you.� Kata said, following.
Down halls and around corners they went. Sinbad stopped, and turned around, said “Well, here we are, you’re going nowhere else.� Sinbad kicked a lever and the floor gave way.
Kata jumped strait up, grabbing the rafter she pulled herself onto it. “Nice try!� she hissed, and then jumped to Sinbad, knocking him down, she felt a shock, then everything went black.
Kataloma heard voices. “What are you going to do with her?� one voice asked, and then the voice of Sinbad said “I’m going to kill all her wingmen, and wipe her memory, and send her to Shinto. Go take care of the wingmen.� “Yes sir.� The other voice said, and left. Kataloma drifted away again.
~Chapter Two~
The Chosen One
The morning was a beautiful day, as Katelyn, better known as Kat walked to school. She was new to the school. Her mom, Ceka was at home, doing house stuff, and her dad, Khesta, well, he disappeared years ago, before Kat was 7 years old. Kat was dark blond haired, with lighter blond streaks in it; she had greenish yellow eyes, all on one 13 year old girl who hated school. She had been kicked out of the last school because of her temper. She could see the small building now.
Someone caught up to her; they were a tall girl, most likely around 14 or 15 years old. “Who are you?� The new girl asked.
“I’m Kat.� Kat replied.
“It’s nice to have a newbie cat around.� The girl said.
“I’m new, but I’m not a newbie, and my name is Kat not Cat.� Kat said.
“If you’re new, you’re a newbie.� The girl hissed.
“I am not a newbie!� Kat was getting mad.
“Yes you are, and have fun chasing mice!� the girl said, and with a toss of her long light brown hair, and walked away.
“Jerk.� Kat muttered under her breath. The girl kept on walking. Kat continued walking.
Kat glared at the girl who was laughing at her clenched fists. It was the same one who had called her a newbie.
The girl laughed and yelled “there is the newbie baby fussy pussy cassy cat! And no one likes her! She’s so tiny small that anyone could out do her!� A couple of bigger kids started walking toward her, and then they rushed at her.
Kat used her fighting skills, which she had been taught in a different school, and put them on the ground in Two minutes. “I’m not a pussy cat.� She hissed.
The laughing stopped, and then a slight noise made everyone look at where it came from. It was the door opening. There stood a figure with a cloak and hood drawn over the face. “There’s the anigirl, with the weird cloak!� they laughed. The girl started to walk away, and the other girls started taunting her. “Scared pussy cat!� they laughed. “Stop it right now!� Kat exploded. “Make us!� they taunted. “You know what, your just plain mean.� Kat hissed. “And you two are plain weird!� they yelled with laughter. Kat’s anger started to blaze out, but she withheld it and walked away, toward the girl with the hood. “Hi, I’m Kat� Kat said to the figure. The figure looked at her, and said, “Hi. I’m Keisha.� In a voice, not entirely robot like, but like part human, part robotic. “Nice to meet you Keisha� Kat said. “You two, want to be friends?� Keisha replied. “Sure!� Kat exclaimed.
‘As legend goes, the emperor wanted special soldiers to fight for him, and only that, so he made the Species that are called the Kat’s, but later, after many generations of having Kat soldiers, the emperor desired to make clones, so he did so, and the clones seemed to be better than the Kat’s, so the emperor announced that all the Kat’s were to be exterminated. But when the Kat’s heard of this, one known as Kataloma lead a rebellion, as legend goes, Kataloma was the favorite Kat of the emperor, so the emperor was going to spare Kataloma, because she was his favorite. Kataloma lead the Kat’s against the clones, but there was too many of them. Most of the Kat’s were killed in combat, fighting for what they thought was their right to live. The Kat’s have a prophecy that says that there will be at one time, two chosen ones, who will be more powerful than any of the other Kat’s. Their names will be InsaneKat, and Katsha. Soon after the defeat of the Kat’s, Kataloma had a female child; we know not her name, because Kataloma hid her child on a planet, to hide her from the emperor…’
“Katelyn!� A raised voice echoed through the classroom. Kat looked up from the book at the angry teacher. “Why are you read myths, in MATH class!?� the teacher glared at Kat. “Oh… um, wrong book� she grinned, and setting the Myth’s down, she picked up her math book, and started reading. ‘2 + 4 = 6 4 - 2 =’. This is boring… Kat thought, but just then the bell rang.
Kat walked down the path to her house, Keisha walked beside her. When they reached the house on the street, the only other house besides Kat’s, Keisha stopped. “See you tomorrow?� she asked, “sure!� Kat smiled, and continued to her house.
Kat opened the Myth book again. ‘Hide her from the emperor.’ That’s where I was… Kat thought, then continued reading. ‘When the child reaches 13 years of age, the legend says that Kataloma will return to the planet, and seek out her child.’ Kat looked at the date that the child was born on. Kat’s mouth dropped open. It was the same birthdate! Wow! Kat thought.
Katsha closed the door, and watched Kat walk away down the street. “Mom, I’m home!� Katsha called threw the house. Katshak, Katsha’s mother came in the room. “Hi Katsha, how was school?� Katshak asked. “As normal, other then I met this girl named Kat, and she’s very nice.� Katsha, whose undercover name was Keisha answered, Katsha took off the hood, revealing what she was, her light brown eyes looked at her mom, light grey hair, with a blond tint to it fell down a little passed her shoulders, her body was furry, the fur being light grey. Her face had a built in helmet, and her neck had scale like skin. Her hands and part way up her arm was touch leathery like skin, her feet were like her hands. She twitched her light grey tail, and curled it around her leg.
“Kat, are you doing your homework?� Ceka called up the stairs to Kat’s room. Kat quickly picked up her homework, and started. “Yes mom, I am.� She called back. “Good.� Her mom’s words drifted up to her.
Katsha sat on the couch, and yawned. Ding, dong, dong, ding. It was the door bell, Katsha quickly threw her cloak on. Katshak opened the door, and politely said “Hello, how may I help you?� The person outside the door had a cloak on, and out of the cloak the female voice said “May I please come in?� “Okay,� Katshak answered and let the person come in. The person threw off the cloak, and exclaimed “Katshak, How I’ve missed you!� Katshak’s mouth dropped open and then exclaimed “Kataloma, I’ve missed you so much, my sister!� “I too, sister.� Kataloma replied. “What brings you here anyway?� Katshak inquired. “I am here to find and train my daughter InsaneKat.� Kataloma answered, and then continued “Last I checked, Kat lives in the care of the woman who lives down the street, but I do not know if she is still there, as she might have moved again.� Katsha jump off the couch “There’s a girl named Kat in that house.� She offered. “It may be Kat, it might be a different girl,� Kataloma said thoughtfully, “at any rate, I’ll see. Katsha, will you go and get Kat out of the house, and into the forest?� “Okay,� Katsha said “it should be easy.�
Ding, Dong! It was the door bell, Kat got up and went to the door and opened it “Keisha, how nice for you to visit!� Kat said, and then the figure said “Kat, would you like to take a walk with me in the woods, I have something I want to show you.� “Okay, let me tell my mom,� Kat said, and then called over her shoulder “Mom, I’m going to take a walk in the woods,� Katsha and Kat then walked into the woods, to a stream that chattered over the rocks, there, Kataloma and Katshak were waiting. “Katsha, thank you for bringing Kat,� Kata briefly said, and then looking at Kat said, “Oh, InsaneKat, how I missed you those 13 years.� Kat looked at them, Katsha without thinking took off her cloak, then Kat screamed, and ran for her house. “Oops, sorry� Katsha said.
“Mom!� Kat flung herself into her Ceka’s arms. Ding Dong! Ceka pet Kat’s hair and went to the door, leaving Kat shaking on the couch. “Ceka, you do remember me, correct?� a voice that sounding like the voice of the one who had said ‘InsaneKat’. “Yes I do, Kataloma, come in.� Kat heard her mom reply. The figures walked into the room where Kat sat. “You guys again?� Kat shrieked. “It’s okay Kat, they are friends, nay, family of yours.� Ceka said, and then Kataloma said, “Sit down Kat, I think we have some explaining to do."
~Chapter Three~
The Truth is told, and a Hunt Begins
“What!� Kat yelled “You’ve lied to me for 13 years?� Kat was angry, confused, and upset. “I’m sorry Kat, as I told you, I could not take care of you in my running life, and I’ve regretted it every day.� Kataloma said. “Kat, we kept it a secret to keep you safe.� Ceka said. “You lied to me, all of you! You completely lied to me for 13 years!� Tears came to Kat’s eyes, and she stormed upstairs, and lunging, fell onto her loving bed. “Well. That didn’t go as planned.� Kata said. “I’m sure she’ll come around,� Ceka said, “If she doesn’t fulfill her part in the legend, then our hope, our loved ones lives have been sacrificed in vain.� Katshak said. Kat sobbed on her bed, a deep anger burning in her, but all of a sudden… CRASH! The window broke, and looking up, she saw a Crawler. A creepy crawler that was a piece of steel with two red eyes, a robot that can only be defeated by Kat’s, right in her window! Kat screamed, but the Crawler only came closer. Kat grabbed her dart gun off her dresser, and shot all the darts, all but one, which she dipped into some chemical that she had made, and fired the last dart.
“Kat! Are you okay?� Kataloma had just busted down the door to Kat’s room. “I-I-I th-thi-think so.� Kat said un-steadily. “Whoa, you killed it!� Katsha exclaimed. “ACK!� it screeched, then getting up it tottered and fell, got up, tottered and fell, the red eyes going black.
Sinbad called his son, Niebad before him “Niebad, have Kebad bring Demon Desha and Demon Volf before me.� “Yes, my father.� Niebad replied, and then went and told his son, Kebad all that Sinbad wanted. Soon Kebad brought the two Demon wolves, DD as Demon Desha was called, and DV as Demon Volt was called, before Sinbad. “You wanted us?� their hissing voices asked. “Yes, Demons, yes, you are to be employed to hunt down six� he paused and then resumed “things. You are to kill them, no mercy, no prisoners.� The savage canine teeth of DD and DV showed in evil and violent grin. “It would be our pleasure, Sinbad, who is to be� DV, who was speaking, paused, and then continued “so honored, as to be played with by us, the servants of the mighty ones?� DD’s red flaming eyes showed eagerness to get on with it so the hunt could begin. “The ones to be hunted down and killed are; InsaneKat, Katsha, Katshak, Kataloma, Ketaak and Ketlashak.� Sinbad said, “They will kill you if they get the chance, and if you fail, and come back here without proof of their death, I will kill you. The Kat’s and the Ket’s are Doomed! Doomed! Doomed I say! Now go, start hunting.� The two Demon wolves turned, without a word and galloped down the hallway, and going to the docking bay, took a ship, and started hunting for their prey.
Kat looks at Kataloma, “well mom, looks like I’m caught up in your action life, I’m game.� Ceka was worried “killing one of those things� she shuddered, and continued “you better go, because only a Kat or a well-trained warrior can kill those things.� “Yes, we better go to Katshak’s house.� Kata turned, and followed by Katshak, Katsha and Kat made her way to Katshak’s house, where Kat was started on her training. Kata took a chip like thing off her arm, and pulling a pin on it set it down. The chip exploded and turned into a cempeater, which is like a computer, but only Kat’s have it. “What is that for?� Kat asked. “It’s to build ships.� Kata replied, then show Kat how to work it. Katsha was bored, and so she and her mom went out and made sure their hover crafts were in good shape.
“Ketaak!� Ketlashak yelled at the top of her lungs “Get yourself over here right now!� Ketaak laughed and yelled back “Fine you bossiness! I’m coming! Make way you silly clones!� Ketaak shot one and kicked another one, then shot one with green fire. “Lalalalalalaa, have fun clones, ‘cause we be leaving!� Ketlashak laughed, Ketaak joining in as she jump on one clone, knocking it over, then leaping over next to Ketlashak, her sister. “How goes life in the boring lane?� she asked a clone, and then it said “surrender now or die.� Ketaak laughed and said “that’s it? Well then, I’ll just hurry you along to the knock out lane!� and with that she stunned him with his own stun gun. Ketlashak groaned, and said “Ketaak, did you drink too much of that energy drink? I told you that you could taste it, not drink the entire thing!� Ketaak laughed, and laughed and bounced and bounced and bounced some more “no, sister, no, I didn’t drink all of it, well in somewhat I did, but I drank all of the five bottles.� “What!� Ketlashak screamed “you drank all of it?� “Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes I did!� Ketaak bounced and shouted. “Why did you do that after I told you not to?� Ketlashak asked. “Because, well, because you said not to.� Ketaak said. It was her reason for doing everything her sister told her not to do.
“Where are those pesky things?� DV asked DD, as they looked for any sign of the ‘Stupid horrible idiotic things that don’t deserve to live’ as DV call’s the Kat’s and the Ket’s. The Demon’s and the Ket’s had been at war for a long time, that is, until the emperor started paying the Demon’s to work for him. “DV, I do believe that the Kat’s are here.� DD pointed to a spot on the map. “I think they are at Shinto. I think Kataloma is their too. I think they all are there.� “Well we are going there, and if there are any Kat’s or Ket’s they will be killed.� DV growled, as he hit the ‘Jenp inteo sy-hy-pace’ which in the normal language of the empire means ‘Jump into Hyperspace’.
Ketlashak grabbed Ketaak and pulled her into the ship, or she would have been shot. Then she took off from the planet where they had been fighting. “Close call there Ketaak.� She said. “Yeah,� Ketaak said, bouncing off the walls, and accidently kicking the jump button, the ship launched. “Oops� Ketaak said. “Oh, great, now we have no idea where we are going!� Ketlashak said, not happy at all.
“Shinto.� A voice said “the Ket’s are going there, the Demons are headed there, and� the voice paused for a second “and the Kat’s are there.� “Good.� The voice of Jakabad, Jabad’s daughter came over the radio. “It shall be� the voice of Jakabad paused, and then continued “interesting to watch what they do to the planet Shinto. Make sure a lot of the clones are sent there under one pretext or another. I don’t care what excuses are used, send them anyway. I want to see what happens; I want to know really how powerful this ‘InsaneKat’ really is.�
Beep! The computer that Kata had in her lap beeped, and the screen said that someone wanted to contact her. Kat watched her type in a command, and then read the message. Kata called Katshak and Katsha in, and then typed the command in to have the computer read aloud the message. “Hurry. Leave the planet Shinto now. There is grave danger. Leave now, save InsaneKat and Katsha, the Demons’ are coming. Quick, hurry, there is not a moment to� Crash! The shock sent everyone down.
“Ketaak! Are you okay?� Ketlashak’s voice woke Ketaak up “Yes. Why did you have to crash the space ship? You know I hate crash landings!� Ketaak was not in a too good mood, it might have been because she regretted drinking five bottles of energy drink “Those energy drinks were guaranteed to give me energy for hours! Why do I have barely any left?� Ketaak asked. “Because, it was a rip off. Ketaak, how many times do I have to tell you?� “Tell me what?� Ketaak said, her energy returning. “Market places, with clones swarming, means: One. Do not draw attention to yourself. Two. Do not buy anything. Perfect place to be ripped off at. Three. Do not say real names to anyone you do not know. That means don’t tell anyone you Ketaak, and Ket, and don’t tell anyone that Ketlashak is your sister, also a Ket.�
By that time Ketaak and Ketlashak walked out the ship’s door. They saw the Kat’s watching them. They looked back. “Who are they?� Kat asked. “I do not know, they look like strangers here.� Kataloma said to Kat. No one knew that multiple things were watching them. “Hello? You are talking about us, we are standing right here!� Ketlashak said, obviously she was not very happy to have a welcoming committee. “Oh, forgive me� Kataloma said smiling, “I am Kataloma, this is Katshak,� Kataloma pointed to each one as she said their names “Katsha and Kat. Who might you be?�
Jakabad smiled, and said “wow, Ket’s crashed, and Kat’s are open for target. Now where are those Demons?� Jakabad then saw the two demons looking at the Ket’s, and the Kat’s, they got into place to fire, but then Ketaak look at where they were hiding, and then her eyes glowed emerald color, and the two demons fell over, fast asleep. “What!� Jakabad screamed at the monitor. “How! How! The Perfect set up and they fail?� Jakabad soon contacted Sinbad, to let him know, that the demons’ failed at first try.
“We need to get off Shinto.� Kataloma said with worry in her eyes, after seeing the demons. “And soon. Sinbad knows we are here, we have to hurry.�
~Chapter Four~
On Their Own
“Stop, and tell me who you� the clone stopped speaking, as Kata kicked it, and sent it flying. “Get out of here you piece of metal!� Katshak hissed at a clone. Ding, ding, ding the alarm went off. “Oh, how nice.� Kataloma said “We’ve blown the alarm! Run Katsha! Run Kat!� “But what about you?� Kat asked, yelling to be heard over the high pitched sounds and screeches of the alarm. “Just go!� Kataloma yelled, and Kataloma’s and Katshak’s claws came out, and they charged the clones. Little did they know at the time, that they had a watcher.
Kataloma and Katshak are brave, they also care a lot for their kids. Unlike me, they have had a good childhood. But no, I must not compare. I shouldn’t intervene, my presence might be found out by the Bad’s, and worst of all, the demons. But that is suicide, at least in my opinion. I must save them, save them from the death they will get if they continue. Five hundred clones are no match for two people, unless they are really, really powerful, I will see how powerful they are.
“Katshak, flank!� Kataloma exclaimed. Katshak instantly fell to the flank, and they plunged into the mass of clones. Eyes glowing, powers working at top speed, clawing at the clones, while the clones were shooting back, it was an unequal battle. The Kat’s were outnumbered. They would loose. Kat and Katsha took refuge in a small wood, and watched the battle. OK. That is it. I can’t just stand by while two kids watch their mother’s fate! Suddenly there was an explosion. After the dusk cleared from it, Katshak was the only one there, other than thirty-five clones. “Kataloma!� Katshak screamed, “where are you?�
“Mom. No. No.� It was all Kat could say. Katsha glared at the clones “how dare they!� she half yelled. Kat watched with horror as Katshak charged the clones yelling. When Katshak reached them, there was a very fierce struggle, and then there was a flashing from the weapons of the clones, and then all the firing stopped. Then the clones formed into rank and started to march off, and then they fell over one by one, struggling, gasping, and then stopping all movement.
“Mom!� Katsha screamed, and broke cover and rushed forward. Kat followed, staggering like she had been hit by a strong person. “How dare you!� Katsha screamed at the clones who looked stunned at the death of their companions. “You’ll pay for this!� Katsha charged, claws out, she generated a field of throw-power, which when it hit the first rank of the clones, they went flying backward, hitting the next row, and so on. Then the clones self-destructed.
Katsha look back where her mom had been lying. Katshak was gone. Katsha’s mouth dropped. Where was her mom? Kat sank down to her knees. How could this happen? Kat felt dizzy, feeling about ready to throw up. Kat looked up to see Katsha’s hand down next to her. “We’ll avenge this together.� Katsha said. Kat took Katsha’s hand, and got up. “The Bad’s will pay dearly for what they have done, both today, and for what they did before I was born.�
Oh dear. They think that Kataloma is dead? Oh no. I should go down, but then they might think I did it. What should I do?
“Ugh!� DV said as he got up. He had a really bad headache “what happened?� he asked DD, who broke a two-inch stick over her knee in rage to find that the Kat’s, and the Ket’s were long gone. “I have no idea.� She said “let’s go back and get our ship and go looking.� DD headed off back to the ship, and she heard something snapped under DV’s breath. He obviously hated whatever had happened back there. Oh bother. Now I have to stand him being in a really bad mood all day. I’m going to really hurt that Ket who looked at us. I’m going to pound it, and then pound it, and pound DD ran into the Demon’s ship. “Ouch!� she yelled. “What now?� DV snapped. “The Ship bit me!� DD shrieked.
Ketaak yawned, and kicked the piece of equipment, and it turned on. “Good, now that you fixed that, let’s get this piece of junk off the ground.� Ketlashak said. The Ket sister’s had flown off Shinto, over to the near-by moon that was named Akihito. The engine fluttered to life, and rumbled its way up to full speed, and then started humming. “Well, that’s good� Ketlashak continued as Ketaak took ahold of the weapons control, and Ketlashak took the navigation controls. “Can we make some explosions?� Ketaak asked. “No. Just no Ketaak,� Ketlashak said “we cannot make explosions!� “And why not?� Ketaak asked. “Because we’d die before we fired two shots. We first need to find a new ship, not this piece of junk.� Ketlashak said, slightly glaring at Ketaak. “You always ruin my awesome plans.� Ketaak complained. “Even so, we do have some fun Ketaak.� Ketlashak reminded Ketaak. “Well, that’s true.� Ketaak said.
Jabad, Sinbad, Jakabad, Kebad, Niebad, Kabad and Jenkabad all sat around a table. Sinbad spoke, addressing all the Bad’s he said “I called you all together, to gather a vote on what we will do about the Ket’s, the Kat’s and the mysterious thing that destroyed an entire clone army, snatching Kataloma away before she could be overcome.� Jakabad added after Sinbad was done speaking “the demon’s failed at first contact with the Kat’s and the Ket’s.� Kabad narrowed his eyes, and then spoke in his normal snappy tone “maybe you hired the wrong demon.� Niebad rose, and glared at Kabad. “Are you implying that Sinbad does not know what he is doing?� Niebad watched Kabad rise out of his chair. Kabad slammed his fist down on the table. “No!� He yelled with rage. “I’m just saying that there are other demons that are really good!� Sinbad rose and bellowed “enough already! We didn’t gather together to fight!� All the Bad’s resumed their seats, “by the way,� Jabad said calmly “is not one of our party missing?� Sinbad looked over at the empty seat. “Kaebad, late as normal.� Just then they heard some yelling, some words came through the door “get out of my way!� Then the door opened, and Kaebad came in. “Sorry I’m late, I did not notice the time.� Kaebad sat down, and the debate continued.
Kat pulled out the chip from the computer. “Ok, let’s hope this works.� Kat pulled the pin on the side out, and tossed it into the clearing. The chip exploded and when the dust and smoke cleared, and beautiful ship was sitting there. Katsha opened the door, and went inside, Kat followed, bringing the computer case. “This is one nice ship!� Katsha exclaimed. “Well, looks don’t matter, as long as it fly’s.� Kat said, sitting down at the controls. Kat turned the switch, and pushed the on button. The K model #custom came to life, lights turned on, the hyper drive started working, and the ship signaled its readiness to fly. Kat took ahold of the controls, and they went up. After a very bumpy ride, they were in space. Kat then looked at all the places they could go. “Where to Katsha?� she asked. “What about Femur?� Katsha suggested. “Okay, that sounds good.�
“Want to go to Femur Ketaak? It looks like a great hiding place, you know, to repair our ship.� Ketlashak was staring at the planet info. “Don’t matter to me.� Ketaak said, and continued to take apart a smoker, which when the code was pushed in and thrown, it would explode with tons of smoke. “Ketaak, why are you taking apart our weapons?� Ketlashak looked at the pieces, laying in order on the floor. “I’m making them better� Ketaak said, and continued to take it apart. “Fine.� Ketlashak said, and hit the Jump button.
Wow, the Ket sisters and the Kat’s are going to Femur. This is bad, very, very bad. The entire Bad family and every last demon will be there for the special celebration! I can’t really stop anything from happening. I won’t have any power to use, because I’ll be there, among those Bad’s. I now wish I had not infiltrated the Bad headquarters. If I let loose my power there, and save the Ket’s and the Kat’s, I’ll be hunted, again. But if I don’t, what will happen?
The Bad’s and the Demon’s filed onboard the ship taking them to Femur. DV and DD were among them. Desha noticed how worried Kaebad looked. “What are you worried about, Kae� she allowed a slight pause and then finished “bad?� Kaebad turned sharply around and faced Desha “nothing of your concern.� She said in the snappy Bad tone. “Humph.� Desha said.
“Coolly awesome!� Ketaak exclaimed, as she tried a simulation of what would happen if she used her ‘new and improved version of the Smoker’. “I’m glad you’re having fun with that thing� Ketlashak said smiling at Ketaak. “Can I try it out?� Ketaak asked with a big grin on her face. “Uh, no, not in the ship.� Ketlashak replied. “Why not?� Ketaak said with her almost in tear voice. “I don’t want the ship filled with smoke!� Ketlashak shrieked. “Fine.� Ketaak made a sad face and put the stuff away.
Kat looked at the planet she had just crashed on. “I guess I need some more practice.� Kat said, and Katsha looked with a little bit of dismay at the wreaked ship “a little?� she asked. “You mean, A lot!� Kat looked at Katsha, “alright, a lot.� Katsha’s eyes glowed Silver, and she said “let’s practice some battle stuff.� Kat nodded, and said “planet scan!� Kat’s eyes glowed gold, and held glowing gold. Katsha’s eyes lit up with silver light, then beams of silver light went out from her eyes. Kat had a bit of difficulty doing it, but she managed. The Gold and Silver light combined, and made yellow light, which then flew out in a ring once around the planet, and then hit the computer, the computer soaked it up and displayed the data. “We did it!� Kat shouted.
~Chapter Five~
The Battle
“Ah! Someone take the controls away from Ketaak!� Ketlashak screamed “what? Wait, Ketlashak, come here look!� Ketlashak stopped and looked at the yellow ring flying around the planet. “Ketaak! Watch out! A Bad ship just came into orbit! Land on the planet now before we are seen!� But it was too late. The Bad’s put on the extra speed throttle, and tried to cut them off. Katlashak took control of the flight, and Ketaak manned the weapons.
That’s suicide! What is going on in the Ket’s heads? Oh well, time to release Kaebad from my control.
Kaebad staggered. Desha watched, as everyone turned. “Help I’ve been compromised!� Kaebad’s eyes were wild and, what Desha thought was fear. Then a light blinded everyone for a second, and there standing, was a human. “Well, hello Bad’s.� She said “my name is� Sinbad glared and snapped “Demons, attack!� DD and DV attacked, but were unable to reach her. “I have a force field around me Sinbad, and my name is Ka’et.� The Bad’s laughed “liar. Ka’et is dead.� Sinbad said smugly. “Okay, believe what you want. Goodbye.� Ka’et vanished into midair, and snatching Ketaak and Ketlashak from their ship before it exploded, went down to the planet, right next to Katsha and Kat.
Kayak was sleeping when she was rudely woke up by the sound of firing and exploding things. Ugh! Time to fight some more. Can’t I just have 1 hour to sleep? Kayak, a brown haired girl, with Rainbow eyes, got up, and drew her long beautiful sword out of it’s gem studded leather sheath. The sword was Silver blade, Gold handle, round Jade end of the handle, on each side it had Ruby bars that went out, so if a sword came down the blade it would hit the Ruby. And Amethyst sides on the bars that went out, so when a blade came down, and hit the Ruby, it would get stuck. And the Amethyst went down, and had two bars protecting the wrist. I’m called ‘The Gemstone Swordsmen’, just because of my sword. But whoever woke me up is going to pay! Kayak turned to face the sound of the battle, got into fighting mode, and took off, bounding from tree to tree to speed herself up.
Kat, Ketaak, Ketlashak and Katsha bounded in and out of the crowd of clones. Kat and Katsha were clawing, and kicking. Ketaak, Ketlashak, Kat, and Katsha were all sweating. This was the first time they had battled. Ketaak was firing like mad with a gun from a clone, recklessly firing was dangerous, but they all knew Ketaak was scared. They all were scared, but Ketaak was not used to big Battles, especially this big. Ketaak fired her Power, and the Demon’s, DD and DV, fell over. Kat laughed, and flew at another clone. “Take that! And that!� she yelled at them. Kat watched Ke’at, who had saved them fighting, using her mind powers with such ease that Kat was jealous of her.
Kayak stopped, and viewed the battle. She didn’t want to just run in. Looks fun to me! With that thought, Kayak swung her sword into fight mode, and charged with a burst of flash, made from the sunlight hitting her sword, blinding the clones. Kayak jump attacked, and landing on and clone’s face, she bounced into the middle of the fight. Kayak kicked a few clones, and stabbed a few more, before they recovered from the suprize. Kat, Katsha, Ketlashak, and Ketaak attacked a few seconds after Kayak did.
Kat knelt on the ground, panting, claws still out, she looked up. Clones were all over. Ke’at gave her a hand up. “You need more practice before you battle this much. I’m afraid that I will have to go now, I have interfered too much already.� Ke’at looked at Kat, while speaking. “I understand. Thank you for helping us.� Kat watched as Ke’at faded into a ball of light, and slowly the light faded. Kat looked over at Ketaak, who was standing by her sister, then she caught the glint of Kayak’s sword. Kat whirled around to face Kayak. “Who are you?� Kayak shoved her blade into her sheath. “My name is Kayak. What’s yours?� Kayak pointed to them all. “I’m Kat, this is Katsha, Ketaak and Ketlashak.� Kat pointed at each one as she said their name. Kayak nodded, “nice to meet you all, now if you all don’t mind, I have a nap to finish.� Kayak turned to go, but stopped when Kat said “aren’t you going to get off this planet? The Bad’s are still on here, as well as the Demons’.� Kayak turned, “well, I don’t have to, as I have my weapon to protect me. I suggest you get one to, or next time you wont be so lucky.� Katsha’s claws came out and her eyes glowed, and Kayak went off the ground and came closer. Kayak drew her sword, and got ready. “Katsha. There’s no need to hurt Kayak. She has done no harm, but has helped us.� Katsha dropped Kayak, and her claws retracted. “I want to hurt you Kayak, but as Kat doesn’t want me to, I wont.� Kayak glared at Katsha, still in fight mode. “Next time I suggest you be more wise in whom to pick a fight.�
Insane sat on the window seal, she was in the form of a black cat. Kaynak was cooking their super. Kaynak was her host or container. Insane couldn’t live without a container to be her base. Without the base she would have no power, and slowly die. In 48 hours after being removed from a container, she had to find one, or die. “Insane?� Kaynak walked up behind Insane. “You ready to eat?� Insane turned, and smiled “yes, I am, It smells wonderful.� Insane jumped down, and walked over to the table. Insane had Red and white Star eyes. Kaynak’s eyes were blue, but the blue had a faint Red and White star on them, from Insane being her companion. Insane had lots of power, but she was the tool of her container, meaning all her power was her containers to use. As Kaynak sat down, and they began to eat, Insane heard footsteps. The foot steps belonged to none other then Sinbad, and the Demons. The door opened, and Kaynak jumped up.
Kat never knew Ke’at was the one who had made her be able to use her powers during the fights, but now that she tried picking up a stick with her powers, it didn’t work. “Come on Kat, we need to get out of here.� Katsha knew they needed to go. “I don’t understand!� Kat was almost in tears “I was able to do this earlier! Now I can’t!� Kat heard a loud scream a little ways away, Katsha and her ran for the sound. Ketlashak and Ketaak followed.
When the Ket’s and Kats got there, Insane was in full form – A Jaguar – Screaming insults at Sinbad. Sinbad was smirking, and Kaynak was laying on the ground, a wound across her chest and neck. Insane’s Star eyes flashed and a tree went crashing down. Sinbad saw the Ket’s and Kat’s, and sent the demons to attack.
~Chapter Six~
InsaneKat
The battle was over so fast, but they won – at a price. Kaynak was dead, Ketlashak was dying. Ketaak was sobbing violently. Kat sat against the wall, people were loosing everyone, everything they loved. Sinbad stopped and shouted back, “you will pay, you tiny little cat! The humans will be under my control forever!� then he turned and took off again as lighting struck a tree – right next to him.
Insane lay across Kaynak, Kaynak had been more then a container, she had been a sister, had been family, now she was gone. She knew she needed a new host, but would anyone else want her? Could anyone use her mighty power? She glanced around, only Kat would work, but would she accept me?
“Who are you?� Kat looked at the Jaguar. “I’m Insane.� The Jaguar, called Insane answered. “Ah, I’m sorry about your friend. I know how it is.� Kat looked down, but then a light appeared out of no where. And then Kata was there. “Mom!� Kat squealed like a 3 year old. Kat ran into Kata’s arms, sobbing with joy. Kata took one look at Insane and said “what and who are you?� Insane got up, and boldly answered “I am Insane, you must be that one I’ve heard about, Kataloma am I correct?� Kata didn’t look surprised. “Yes I am. Nice to meet you Insane.� Ketaak needed a hug, so Kata gave her one, then offered that they go to Shinto again. “The people of Shinto are ready to revolt against Sinbad. They are tired of living under his rule.� Insane nodded, “I will go with you, but fist I need a new container or I will die.� Insane looked back down at Kaynak. “I will be happy to provide myself temporally Insane,� Kata said graciously. “Thank you, Kata.� Insane turned into a Red and White light, and went into Kata’s body, then a Red and White mist surrounded her, and the Jaguar form returned, but this time Kata’s eyes were marked with the Red and Star.
Ketaak chose to change her name to Kataak, and live as a Kat. All the other Ket’s were gone, she didn’t want to be alone in the galaxies. They were soon on Shinto, and getting the people together to revolt against the empire. The house which the Kat’s were in was the safest one in the planet. There had been sharp fighting all over the planet, but they had finally got rid of all the clones. Now they were planning the freedom celebration. Kat was bored most of the time, other then the fighting lessons she was bored until Kata had her design her own Fighter Ship, fully equipped it could destroy a battleship.
“What!? That can not be!� Sinbad was yelling in rage, and surprise. “Yes, sir, it is.� The clone said in the robot voice of any clone. “Get every last single battleship together. I will not stand for this outrage!� Sinbad paced, giving directions. “Yes, sir, I will do your command.� The clone turned and left.
“General, you must understand, Sinbad will not just sit around and watch Shinto revolt, he will send his battleships, he will attack us.� Kata was trying to reason with the general who wasn’t even preparing for attack. “Kata, Sinbad has other planets to deal with, why would he come all the way out here for such a small planet? No, he will not attack us, and even if he did, we could easily overpower him.� The general waved his for Kata to leave. Kata had to go, “fine, but don’t blame me when he attacks.� Kata turned and left.
Kat snuggled deep into her covers, and turned out the light. She was finally safe after 48 hours of pure fright, and fighting. Katsha was asleep, and Ketaak, well now Kataak, was snoring soundly. Kat closed her eyes and drifted off into a deep sleep.
“Insane, I know that Sinbad will attack Shinto. You’ve told me that you have great power, and you can protect, to a point. If Sinbad attacks, I want you to be Kat’s companion. I fear Shinto is doomed, but I don’t want Kat to die. Please Insane, look after Kat.� Kata was talking to Insane, while Insane ate some food. “I will, I promise I will not fail Kat, not like Kaynak.� Tears formed in Insane’s eyes as she thought of Kaynak. “Thank you Insane, this means a lot to me.�
The Battleships were quickly closing in on Shinto, Kankakee, Junco and the moons. Each and every planet, five battleships fell out of the ranks to deal with them. Sinbad had equipped the Battleships with Stealth shields, so the planets could not see them coming. Each Battleship carried 1,000 fighter pilots, and 50,000 clones for ground work. All of them were equipped with top weapons. Demon, the top Demon wolf was at the head of the fleet, giving out Sinbad’s orders. The Armada Battlestar, the strongest possible ship ever built headed to Shinto. Demon controlled it. The Armada Battlestar had enough firepower to destroy a planet. Shinto had no idea that the Armada was coming. If they had known maybe what happened would not have happened.
“Kat, Kataak, Katsha, wake up!� The cry of Kata brought Kat awake with a start. There were sounds of crashing buildings, and the sound of bombing from the Armada. Kat jumped up, and following Kata’s instructions, ran down to where her fighter ship was. Kat pushed the button to open the blast doors. Kat ran back to help Kata with Kataak and Katsha. Kataak got outside, and Katsha was with Kat. A cannon fire beam hit part of the house, and the doorway to Kata, where she was grabbing her weapons came crashing down. Then the rest of that part fell. Kat screamed “mom!� once, and started digging through the pile of rubble. Katsha touched Kat’s arm “Kat we need to go, please don’t continue, Kata’s gone, we can’t help her.� But just then a Red and White light came out of the rubble and entered Kat. It was Insane.
The planet was in flames when Kat took off with her fighter ship. Katsha and Kataak were flying wing. When they got out of the atmosphere, they were attacked by wave after wave of clones ships. Ketaak and Katsha were separated and Kat thought she saw their ships go up in flames. Kat fired round after round at the Battleships, but there were too many of them. Kat veered off and took off across the stars.
Kat was now to be known as InsaneKat. InsaneKat got her name by combining Insane with Kat, therefore getting the name InsaneKat. Insane and Kat completely disappeared from the galaxy that Sinbad ruled. Sinbad was happily thinking she had been destroyed.
