Where did you hear about Evochron Mercenary?

First post!

I found the game on google about 2 days before it was launched on Steam.

I was seeing if there was anything new like Freelancer but with the feel of Freespace. X games are good but flight is boring as the ship is on rails and there is no feeling of speed.

I came across some images for this game and thought it looked good. The idea of flying on a planet into space and vice versa seamlessly had me hooked.

I planed to check it out but when I saw it on steam I purchased immediately.

I'm loving Evochron for the physics model and Joystick use!! My X52=pro is once again getting a workout.

Like many others, I saw it on Steam, was reminded of Freespace but Open World, and had to get it.

For now, I'm sticking to single player and trying to get the controls down well. I've yet to try any real combat, as I'm still having trouble trying to win those blasted races ... in hindsight, it might be best if I didn't try winning said races in my Mining type Rig of course. When I feel confident, I'll hop onto the multiplayer and join the rest of ya!

I saw this on STEAM, and at first I was a bit sceptical: The game as described appeared to be a combination of X-Wing, Wing Commander, the Colony Wars Trilogy and a bit of BSGO. But I hoped it would be all that and more.

A few days later: Oh my God I just played non stop for over six hours. I keep discovering something new in-game and the community is really nice for being two years old, not to mention that all this was developed by one man. o.o

Thank you everyone on the United Star Systems server for your welcomes. I'll stick around!

Logged into steam and saw it on the front page. Bought it from the site though so updates will happen easier.

My friend stumbled on this game shown at Steams website both of us downloaded demo version directly from your site.

Checking it out and comparing it to Eve Online.

Looks good but so far what I have noticed Cockpit on screen menus to large not small and clean.

First heard about Evochron Mercenary on Steam. Watched a video, checked out some reviews (strange how it has very polarised reviews), noticed it was on sale and bought it.
Probably never would have heard of it had I not seen it on Steam.
I prefer to buy games on Steam these days.
