Processor Intel(r) Core(TM)2Duo CPU e8500 @3.16ghz 3.16ghz
Installed Memory (RAM) 8gb
Windows 7 64 bit
gfx is GTX 570 driver version 285.62
Right side computer display center "dash" flickers in the sunlight. Sometimes flicker also occurs in lower center of screen or really anywhere.
I've had this problem pretty much since the game first came out. I stopped playing it because of it actually. But I recently got a new video card GTX 570 and I wanted to go back to playing. I re-installed the game and the damn flicker is still there!! There is even apparently a patch that was supposed to resolve the issue however I still have a flicker.
It's very hard to describe and it only comes out when the sunlight in any given system strikes the cockpit. Basically the right side computer display, the center "dashboard" and a bit of the hud just sort of flickers. Like it is vibrating or something.
I tried to just ignore it but honestly it completely ruins the immersion of the game for me and I gotta get this resolved or shelve evochron forever.
The only guess I have as to the problem is that bloom is enabled in the game somewhere and I can't turn it off. In the past I've had a lot of issues with bloom in my games and I find that turning it off removes a lot of my problems and I would like to try it for evochron. How do I turn bloom off if it exists?
If it's not bloom does anybody have any idea what is causing this issue? It drives me nuts and I can't play the game like this. Help!
I have a good fraps of this but it's 500mb... Any idea where I can upload that so that somebody can see it?

Flicker issue
Will be looking into this. Seems mediafire.com is a popular place for the modders to host files, so unless they have a limit that's too low, it might work. If you load the movie into Windows Movie Maker, you can save it as a WMV and greatly reduce the size, then it could be uploaded there or to YouTube. Another option would be to view the movie in full screen, then capture the images you need from it with Print Screen, then paste them in an image editor, then attach those to an e-mail and send them to me.
As I mentioned in e-mail, my initial guess is it's probably something to do with a flawed normal map or maybe some kind of zdepth/clipping issue.

Fraps doesn't compress video when recording (requires too much grunt to do it on the fly) you can probably get the file size down by just recoding the movie in a video editing program (windows movie maker maybe?) that should get it down to something MUCH more manageable.
