It has been many years since I've been as pleasantly surprised by a game! I've been longing for a space sim (newtonian physics, seamless universe, etc) for a long long time - since the days of the Wingman series, Freespace 2, Freelancer, and Independence War 2 (which was the only one that did proper newtonian physics). I had been following a competing product that has been vaporware for a very long time, but somehow I had not heard of Evochron. I happened upon it while browsing Steam, and I am extremely impressed! The options and depth are amazing, and set it apart in a time when huge studios seem to believe that "dumbing down" games is the way to go.
The plans for the expansion look fantastic, and I can't wait. Money well spent! Starwraith Games has a proud new supporter!

Welcome Strand, and I'm glad you like it. I haven't been wanting for a space sim since I found Evochron Legend a few years back.

Yeah this game type is certainly a rarity these days. Fortunately we still have developers like StarWraith 3D Games continuing the legacy in some form or another.
Sure brings back memories of my first experiences with Elite Plus in the mid 90's on my old 486.
