I heard of a warp drive more powerful than the mantis. I just want confirmation from Vice himself before I would go on a wild quest searching for it in the Evo Universe. If not something to think about though

Unless Vice is keeping secrets from this humble servant, the mantis drive is it.
There was some talk at one time about the possibility of an "experimental" jump drive that was so unreliable that you weren't sure where you might end up, but he decided not to go with it.
At least as far as I know.

It might be the device that cuts a turret gunner loose when the ship he guns for is blown up. I've sometimes found myself three or four systems away from the fight after something like that happened.

It could also be the device in Andromeda (unfortunately it's not portable and you can't install it on your ship).

I like the idea from Vice that MM mentions... that would be really wild using something so powerful and unpredictable!

I'm still looking out for the Generation Ships mentioned in Elite

and the Excalibur upgrade that lets you fire the pack in pairs or fours or the whole eight pack at once (well I can dream, can't I?)

and the "invulnerable" upgrade which comes with the quadruple your weapon strength" module and the "can't miss, auto-tracking gunsight"

but I suspect we will be looking for a long while!:P

ps and the "land on Earth safely undetectible stealth generator" upgrade

I'm sure I've heard about all of these in various bars in various stations in various systems . . . bars are such great places to pick up useful gossip and hints, so I'm passing these on to anyone interested

You do know that there is a new race of unknown alians flying about somewhere?
I am surprised that it has drawn so little interest from our pilots.

Working towards a life as a pilot in the US Air-force, pretty close but not there yet

But I might not get into combat piloting if I'm not good enough.

I am finally getting somewhere with these extended jumps.
Yes that loading screen can get kinda long.

I am not sure if i can do the ~400 sectors jump yet,
but at least it is well over 10 anyway.
