JSGME Mod Enabler and EM
I am looking for enhance my experience in EM so i thought to add some fuel to the machine, so i m thinking of getting some addons to the game, and since there are like countless mods addons etc. to the game i was wondering if there is a nice app to install / remove addons so to try them and see if my Laptop can handle it lol
there might be topic about this but thought this might be faster way!
Thanks already!

I did ask for something similar not too long ago, thinking of the Freelancer Mod Manager. I'm pretty sure there are a couple of similar tools for EM, but am not sure if they are still supported or the links are still there. Someone else will probably have a better answer for you.
Until then I will keep an eye on this thread. If such a program exists, I will definitely link it in the info thread.

Well, you can make up for it by reminding me who used FinFoxx's avatar as a mod to somebody else's cockpit mod.

JSGME is used for swapping mods in and out. You put your mod in a folder, give the folder a name (something to describe its contents), launch JSGME and drag the folder into the window on the left. You can then activate and/or deactivate your mods as you choose ... if you install one mod over another and, in doing so, overwrite the first mod ... not to worry: JSGME saves copies of all overwritten files. You just need to uninstall in the same order as you installed ... which will keep all your mods from being deleted.

JSGME Mod Enabler and EM
I have been using JSGME to manage my MODS with other games for a while, it works great with EM too.
Just install it to your game directory and run it, it will offer to make a 'MODS' directory (let it). This is the directory you put your mods in, here is an example of the directory structure I am using.
I expanded a few folders (10 - Chatbox - Red, 15 - Textures - Asteroids-Mojo, 21 - Textures - Warp 1, etc...) to show the correct directory structure of the mod folders themselves (this way they install to the correct directory .
It's great and like Marvin said it makes backups so uninstalling/re-installing mods is very easy.
Here is a pic showing it in use, the left pane is inactive mods and the right pane shows active mods (just drag from pane to pane to activate/de-activate MODS).
NOTE: The 'modified exe' is simply the game exe patched for more memory usage on 64 bit Windows (see this thread), it makes a huge difference for me when using graphics mods online.
////////////////////////////////////
Example of installing a mod using JSGME
The easiest way (well at least for me) is to grab a mod you like (for this demo we will use a new starfield texture) and put it into JSGME so it can be quickly enabled/disabled as needed.
1. Install JSGME into your games' root folder and run it once so it is configured...
2. Grab the starfield texture 'HQ_stars_sky.zip' here: http://www.starwraith.com/forum/viewtop ... 13#p124608 (it's the d/l from dropbox link in the 1st post) and extract the archive somewhere convenient (we are going to move it later)
3. check the folder structure of the mod you are going to install, it should be:
Pay attention to the file structure as it's important
3. Copy the HQ_stars_sky (folder) into your MOD directory (the one created by JSGME when you ran it once) and run JSGME you should see 'HQ_stars_sky' on the left pane of JSGME, move it to the Right pane and the mod should be activated (JSGME makes backups so to uninstall simply move back to the left pane). Close JSGME
4. If all went well you should be looking at a new starfield in the game.
NOTES:
- Game directory of steam version is probably something like: Something like: 'C:\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\evochron mercenary'.
- You can get JSGME here.
- Another tutorial (for a different game, but has good examples).
