Having some problems with my X52. When I go to "Configure joystick" it doesn't register a single axis. Not even one. The joystick checks out fine in the saitek... thing, so I figured I'd need a profile loaded first, or something. I've done my searching and have found one person with a dropbox link to a profile for this, but the link is dead. I've owned my X52 for a while now but have never had the chance to use it (RIP Jumpgate Evolution ).
I'm really hoping someone out there can point me in the direction of a profile I can download. I've read some of the trouble shooting threads but I honestly don't know what "bands" and all that refers to in the profile editor.
I apologize if/that this is a question that gets asked a million times. I just want to fly.
Hi Gridlock and welcome. You probably just have more than one game control device plugged in and the X52 is not assigned to device ID 1 for whatever reason. Use the left and right arrow keys at the top of the Configure Controls menu to toggle through the various device ID's on your system and find the one that responds to input from the X52. Once you locate it, you can then bind and map controls as desired.
Hehe, I was hoping to catch this before it went live. I sat down with the keyboard map and figured it all out myself. Everything is working perfectly now.
