I'm a 33 years old french-canadian from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I have done many different uninteresting things to earn a living in my life (one of the latest of which was game testing for Ubisoft Montreal) though right now I'm trying to focus on translation work.

In my spare time I make music (bass and guitar mainly, I've been in several bands in the last 17 years but now it's just me and my girlfriend, who sings, my preferred style of music and hence the kind i tend to write would fall into post-punk or 80's indie), read a lot and write even more (I'm working on a probably pointless gamebook project right now) and also watch loads of movies. I love sci-fi though find most of what is offered in the genre (be it games, movies or books) to be dreadful and derivative. That also happens to be my opinion of fantasy (loving it about as much as i hate it). I also have a very keen interest in westerns both as literary and cinematic genres.

Some of my favorite writers are Kurt Vonnegut, Philip K Dick, Raymond Chandler, Elmore Leonard, Ira Levin, Robert E Howard, Tolkien, Stephen King and any too many others i'm forgetting right this second.

I spoke of gamebooks earlier (if you don't know what they are, here is the wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamebook and i would direct you more specifically to the adventure gamebook section of this article) i mention it again because collecting gamebooks is i suppose one of my main real hobbies since i don't consider writing music or books hobbies, I take both too seriously to reduce them to just that.

I haven't been playing EM for long but I've known about the Evochron games for many years, having tried the demo for legends about 4 years back and even one of the Arvoch games an even longer time ago. I'm a fan of that genre of games but could never get into the X series which i find bland and soulless. My last favorite in the genre remains Freelancer. Before that? Wing Commander privateer (which freelancer was basically the spiritual child of and unofficial sequel to).....

I'm a 30 something California native originally from the Philippines, been playing space combat games since the original wing commander games, played them all, and the other classics such as freespace 1 and 2 independence war 1 and 2, hardwar even though its not a space game, and freelancer. All having in common that cockpit control that wing commander made me respect. Was formerly a soldier in the Army National Guard for 8 years with one tour in Iraq.

One of my best time in the RL was Skydiving from perfectly good airplanes....(with the exception of 5 planes) spent 17 years doing that during my youth...what a Rush. See you online in MP

Well about me over 35 years in the telecoms business, I live in the cold North of England.
Lots of hobbies here are a few. Computers space Sims , painting drawing, fishing ,flying, holidays in the Greek islands.
I worship this simulator and its creator what talent.

If you watch carefully my avatar, another hobby of mine is Origami. I've fold many origami models and I enjoy creating some as an amateur. This one is a Dralthi spaceship from Wing Commander designed by me which I'm very proud of.

Im 32 from a wee town in northern canada. Canada is not just ontario and montreal lol. There is alot more to it. I found evochron on steam and got interested...I have played games like EVE in the past and had some fun. I play EM at work to pass the time. I program a plasma table and am basically stuck at a desk alllllll day. Which just means Im a multi millionaire in EM as its all I can do...the odd battle here and there but the dual screen setup is not so good to use in battle, hence mining. Doubt Ill ever try MP as I played WoW and numerous other online games and have developed an intense dislke for them.

Love the forum, everyone is so polite and lo and behold for a forum NO ONE seems to treat a person asking a question as an idiot. Pleasant surprise. Off to mine..
