Honest to goodness question here guys, but a bit out of the ordinary. Just found the game through steam, did some research and found the 90 min demo. Got through about 70ish mins of it and absolutely love this game. I've swear I have dreamed of something that combined elements of Tie-Fighter with real planetary transitions. I'll spend hours just flying around doing that. I really want to support this game in the best way I possibly can and that leads me to my question.

Should I purchase this game directly from the site which costs is a little more and goes to the developers(which I want); or purchase through steam which would hopefully raise the game on the bar for steam (which is how I found out about this game any ways and hopefully others will to)?

I'm going to dinner then I'm going to come back and see what anyone comments, then just buy it. $5 difference doesn't matter to me at all. I'd happily pay much more. I've paid $60 for garbage and this is clearly, not garbage. I'm really just curious.

Tyvm for your responses.

I would buy it through steam myself, however I bought it way before it was available on Steam.

Hi Ocenica, welcome to the game and forum...Hope to see you out there some time!.....;)

To answer your question, I honestly do not know. I bought my copy before it was on steam also.
It is an interesting question though. Would the Developer benefit more by huge sales volumes through steam by raising the bar on steam or would he benefit more by direct sales for a little bit more? Maybe Vice the Developer himself can answer this question!....;)

Why don't you buy it off Steam and send the different to Vice directly. Best of both worlds

 I'd buy direct. Vice is continually upgrading the game and linking the RCs to the forum ... Steam might not offer the RCs.
