I cant find one of those. I really would love one. Anyone has a spare they want to sell me? im on the USA EM server. [Qc]Jake

Travel to some outer systems to find various items. You can also do the quest which takes you to new and exiting places.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you can find them quite abundantly in the more outer systems. Beware though that the AI ships are a lot harder to beat out there, so make sure you go prepared!
and what thetiebers said is really good advice: the IMG quest will learn you a lot about the 'EvoVerse'.

well i tried that last night and ended in a system called pearl. I had 4 minllion on me so i was able to upgrade my ship massviely with mostly tech 5 and 6 stuff but didnt find a constructor or a plat miner. those are the 2 things i really want hehe. but ya everything was red deeper i went so I would just hit inertia and bring it to about 3000 and nothing could target me or hit me but took a lot of skills to hit the gates.

but im still short of the those 2 items going to thuban, Pices and pearl. and thuban was yellow pices purple and pearl green.

Do you need to dock in every station in the system?

Well I couldn't tell you off the top of my head on which station exactly you could get those. And even if I could since it would be a big spoiler for any player reading this. Besides, exploring is half the fun! As a tip though, you could check your nav map, click on 'quadrant' and then on 'economy'. The areas where the economy is the highest will give you the best chance of finding high-tec items.

sweet thats very appriciated viper. i only have 3million atm. Should that be enough to cover both? or should I stack a few more millions before going on my quest?

I think you're going to need a bit more, especially since building a station will also cost you some money. Be on the safe side and try to double that.

As Viper has pointed out, the more "advanced" systems (see colors on the quadrant map) will have the better tech. Pearl is a good site

Not all stations stock all kind of stuff, as you've probably already figured out, but if you fly around a bit, you should be able to find those. It may have been just bad luck - those random items that were generated for sale simply did not include the ones you're looking for right then, but they are around.
The more advanced systems will have the specialized beams and constructors.
No, you don't need to dock in every stations, but, like I said, some of them never stock those, even if they're in advanced systems; I don't really know which do and which don't, but most likely, it's the luck of the draw whether they're generated for sale or not when you dock. Jumping out of system refreshes stock, too, or it refreshes on its own after a while.

Good luck, and you'll find them, don't worry. I don't know off the top of my head where to look for them either, but Pearl is definitely a good spot, as well as the other techie systems.

Try the star systems in the northeast corner. Especially any system with only one jumpgate.

A tip for hitting gates easier while flying at high speeds:

Right mouse click on the gate you want to jump through and make sure your compass/direction heading is set at 0 or 180 degrees and pitch is set to 0 then hit F2.....
