Hi everyone.
Firstly I would like to thank the developer for this game. It's amazing! I'm a space SIM junkie from WAY back (think Elite, and Jim Welch's(sp?) SpaceTrader). I saw someone posted a profile sheet for another voice chat application and so I figured I would share mine for VoiceAttack. For those unfamiliar, VoiceAttack is a low cost ($8) voice command software. I use it extensively when playing X3:TC/AP.

Anyway - hope you all like the profile and I look forward to being a part of the community.

I can just see the wife knocking down my office door and yelling "SHUT UP. Whats wrong with you and why are you yelling at your computer to fire. Are you not the one who told me to stop talking to my computer and that it was useless yelling at it and that it would not go faster?? Now look at your fool"
Would be great a mind reader program though. That I would sell my truck to buy.

There is some potential with this software, as it can compliment certain keybinds for non combat functions such as the trade screens, nav console etc. Does this interfere with voice chat software such as teamspeak? I would be interested in this.

You are correct - I use this 100% for non combat related stuff. When it comes to combat the most I use it for is allocating shield boost and power levels for weapons and shields. From post: 124924, Topic: tid=8415, author=Marcellus wrote:There is some potential with this software, as it can compliment certain keybinds for non combat functions such as the trade screens, nav console etc. Does this interfere with voice chat software such as teamspeak? I have used this software with Mumble and Ventrilo. I have not tried it with Team Speak.
Mumble
Mumble seems to "grab" the microphone input and not allow any other programs to access the input. This means in P2T mode you can just not use VoiceAttack when engaging your P2T key.
Ventrilo
Ventrilo does not seem to have the same proprietary hold on the mic input. I can give all the commands I want with the P2T button held and VoiceAttack seems to function perfectly. The main issue is that my P2T key is usually my left ALT and this acts as a modifier for some commands in Evo Merc.
All in all I am more than satisfied with the $8 I spent on the licensed version of this software. It has very extensive capabilities including recording mouse movements, multiple key presses with pauses, and so-on. TBH this software is a little too powerful in that in a game like WoW or other MMOs where a perfectly timed series of keystrokes often results in an OP attack this software could be abused. I got out of MMOs a few years ago so I'm not sure how well it would work - but from the limited use I put it to I find it very powerful.
I've also started using the software in my daily work as well. I now have a profile set up for Adobe FrameMaker that I use for changing fonts and text styles. Processes that normally take a stupid amount of mouse clicks and keystrokes are now reduced to "Courier New" and "New Roman".
Anyway I didn't mean to turn this into an advertisement for the software - but if you are at all interested download the file. The archive includes an HTML formatted list of the commands I have configured.
Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with not do I know personally the developer of VoiceAttack. I'm just very enthusiastic and like to support small shops when I find ones worth supporting.
