Where can I find the image files for the planets and asteroids, and such?

Most of the default texture files are hard-coded ... but you can get the Customizing Kit from the main downloads page and, with it, override the defaults with some of your own stuff.

Hi Someguy, welcome to the game and forum. There is no image file for the planets and astroids. You can create some mods for the astroids and the planets though. Download the customizing kit and follow the instruction in the readme in the kit!.....
