Saitek f.l.y.5 config

I'm having some troubles getting my f.l.y.5 working with this game. Does anyone else use this flightstick? If so could I get a copy of your working config for it? Or possibly a basic walk through on how to configure it for the game? Its the only controller plugged into the pc. I'm sure I'm just missing something simple but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you configuring thru the game or programming the stick directly?

Trying to configure it through the game itself. Should I be trying to program the stick directly via its drivers in windows?

I think it's probably best to go to the game because this way you don't have conflicts. I do it both ways and can get a little tricky what problems are you experiencing ?

Nothing seems to work when I assign it ingame. I've used the flight stick for numerous other games, so I know it works properly. That's why I was hoping that someone had the same flight stick so I could try their config for it.

Hi Imantor, welcome to the game and forum. When you are in the Joystick Configurations options do the axis show action or movement when you move the stick? If so make sure after assignment you save the settings.....

If I recall there is something that says "to use a joystick or not" in the first window of the settings. Is that on?... or it maybe in the window when you hit the escape key when you are in the game.

That part I've done. Its been changed to joystick control. It just doesn't seem responsive on the config axis screen. It feels like I'm doing something wrong or missing a step somewhere.

Yes, there is an option to choose Joystick for control in stead of Keyboard or mouse under control options and another one I think to turn control on or off!

Also, make sure the device is selected in the Configure Controls menu itself. If you have more than one game controller plugged in, you probably have multiple device slots being used. Simply click on the '<<<<' and '>>>>' arrows at the top of the Configure Control menu to change device ID's to find out which one will return an input signal. Once you find it, leave it on that ID and go ahead with your control mapping, both axis and buttons.

Thanks vice I'll check that out when I get home. That I don't recall, however the only device thats plugged in other than my keyboard and my mouse is my joystick.

Changing the devices as Vice said did the trick. I have no clue what device 1 is but its not my joystick. Thanks for the help.
